Haven't seen her here in a while. I posted a question in one of her product threads for help in understanding something that I couldn't resolve but no responce. Not like her at all and now I'm aware that she's just not been around.
Anyone know if she's OK?
Thanks!

I hope so! Diva, where are you??!!
Me too. I really hope she's OK!
I'm pretty sure she is OK. She moved into her new house and has been having a lot of trouble getting her internet installed.
Ah, OK. Hope she gets that resolved. No fun. I'd be going through withdrawls if i had no internet! LOL
Last I remember she said she was moving
Hi, Guys! I'm sorry I've been MIA lately. Charlie Judge and ALLIEKATBLUE are right - we moved and things hadn't gone as smoothly as we'd have liked, due to all the fires here. Due to all the fires and the outages, I guess the internet company and their technicians have been super busy trying to get internet restored to those affected by the fires, so it's been weeks trying to get internet here as they've had their hands full with those in the fire areas. Thankfully we were blessed enough to not be affected (except a lot of smoke in the air for weeks, but staying inside as much as possible helped). I've been on a really slow "hot spot" type of thing so I was not able to do much other then check my messages every once in a while - that's IF I was able to be super patient and waited for ages for the web pages to load. lol So please forgive me for not being on much and not able to get to questions and help out here as much as I would have normally.
We finally got internet installed yesterday afternoon and I've been playing catch-up trying to respond to everyone and get things back to normal. I'll head over to the product threads and see if I can figure out what might be the issue and see if I can help in some way. :)
By the way, these fires here have been the deadliest and the costliest in California history with 14,000 homes burned to the ground, nearly 100 dead and 200 more still missing. If you guys are able to PLEASE donate to the Red Cross or other reputable organization that is helping these folks out. So many families have lost everything they owned, if you're able to give a little, please do.
Glad you are ok Diva! Hang in there and be safe!
Glad you’re OK. I’m in CA too but in LA, far enough away from the fires but getting the smoke still floating this way and my eyes were burning so much today! I thought the rain would clear it, but not sure why it hasn’t. Which fire affected you? I know some people who lost houses around Malibu area or almost did (one was saved by a swimming pool!) I really feel bad for the Thousand Oaks people who had a mass shooting one night and fires the very next day. What a world...
Shout out to all the Daz folks in Cali. Be safe and God bless. @Divamakeup and @wonderland take care
Thanks for checking in. SO GLAD your ok hon. I live in Redwood City so we have allot of the smoke from the fires coming up this way. Never been so sick (head cold + smoke pullution) left me without a voice and barely able to work. Thank the Goddess for the 3 days of rain. I hope it helped with the fires and smoke elsewhere. It's been so sad. Met a woman that had just moved up that way since the rents here are just outrageous. She invested ALL of her money in a place and it burned to the ground. She's an artist, lost all of her paintings and drawings too. She's elderly so all I can do is hope she finds some place to get on with life. SO SO SAD!
Inner city L.A. here. No danger from brush fires, but the air quality could be better.
We're in San Jose, and it was a rough week. I mean, not as much as people actually losing homes, but the kids had the week off and we ... couldn't go ANYWHERE. We had originally planned on visiting Muir Woods, but it was closed due to smoke. Driving north, smoke. Driving south, smoke.
My wife is allergic to smoke and between that and a possible cold that piggybacked on that, she's still a bit under the weather.
Your wife and I were in the same boat. I lost my voice for over a week. Not pretty when your doing hair and trying to talk to your clients! LOL
I'm sorry you've been sick - I think that the smoke did a number on many people. Thankfully the rain has cleared a lot of it (at least here).
It's awful that she lost all her paintings - hopefully she's still active enough to be able to keep creating art, but I know losing things like that ..it's irreplaceable.
We have been really blessed to not have the fires touch our area where we live (just a lot of smoke) - my heart goes out to those who lost so much. I just can't imagine ..everything you worked for your whole life just gone.
We'll have to do what we can to lift each other up and be there for each other when things like this happen. It's more important than ever for people to look out for and help each other.
I think most of the smoke was from the "Camp Fire" - the one that wiped out Paradise CA, but at one point there were like 4 or five fires going so we probably got smoke from multiple fires. The Camp Fire was the biggest though and definitely caused the most damage and deaths.
And yeah, the Thousand Oaks community was just rocked to the core. Did you know that some of the people who were at that mass shooting were some of the same people who were in Vegas who survived the mass shooting at that country music concert there? I mean, what are the odds? You survive a mass shooting in Vegas, then are a victim of a different mass shooting in Thousand Oaks California...
The very strange thing, if you see allot of the photos for the fires, seems most things that were not grounded we the things that burned up. I noticed trees and things like recycle containers were in mostly good shape in some of the photos... very strange.
For lack of a better way to put it, in wildfires, you just sometimes get lucky. I went to school for forestry and fire science and you see that from time to time. Everything in your little patch is scorched to a crisp and right in the middle of it all is a fir sapling completely untouched. That's pretty much how some tree species that aren't very fire resistant (white fir, cedars) survive in a fire prone region.
Hope everything with the move is sorting tiself out for you, Divamakeup. RE: fires, can only say stay safe, and wish everyone else well.
Your helpful forum participation has been missed. For myself, I especially miss your comparison renders when new figures get released. Drop in whenever you get the chance.
WOW... cool to know. I have an aquaintance that thinks in conspiracy terms about such things. Had me going for a while but then sanity slipped back in! LOL
