Headshop 11 Full will not install

Bought Headshop 11 Full since it now advertizes it can convert photos with smiles.  Purhcased it and tried to install it.  Asking for a key.  No key file came with the purchase.  No key file emailed to me and no produict key in the "My Serial Numbers" tab in my account page.  also shows to have a DIM option that does nto work.  Anyone else having this issue?

Comments

  • I too have the same problem.  In addition, the manual at the address specifed in the Readme file is not available.

  • Yes, same thing here,
i've sent an email to the contact mail given in the download README stuff,
Me : Hello where is the licence number ?
the answer was this : At daz3d.com under My Account
    Sent from my iPhone /.

and so there is nothing there about that licence number.

Noticed the manual pdf link is also broken/

Waw that predicts a software that works !!!  ;)

Consider not buying this plugin if you read this.

Found the manual on their website...

    https://printahead.net/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/HeadShop11manual-1.pdf

People are curiouse about the upgrade; does OneClick classify as HS10? As HS10 has not been around on the market since OneClick!?!?!

  • The serial numbers are being fixed and should appear fairly soon.

  • The serial numbers should now be up.

I purchased it but don't see it in DIM.

  • It doesn't show up in my download manager either...

..So I though I'd download and install it manually.

That installation process doesn't allow you to select your DAZ Studio install folder however, which becomes a huge problem if you (like me) doesn't have DAZ Studio installed in the default install-location...

So now I have Headshop installed in the wrong folders and it doesn't work with DS and last but not least it seems like there's no way to uninstall it either..

Sorry, but the installation DOES allow you to browse/select a destination folder (DAZ 3D) wherever it may be. Run installer again and correctly select designation folder.

HeadShop is not a DIM installer. It has its own interactive installer.

Ok but on the download page it indicates install manager ready.  So I should manually download instead?

  • I purchased it but don't see it in DIM.

The product page says Manual Install only - which messes up a suggestion I gave in another thread.

Thanks Richard and info, for the info.  I won't get to play with it until the end of the week, but I can install it yay.

  • I wound up installing it to the default location in C:/Program Files, then cut and paste those files into the location Daz is installed in. I confirmed that everything is where the manual says they should be, and Headshop's still not showing up in Daz.

The likely reason is that the "abaloneHeadShopLoader.dll" in the plugin folder is the wrong bit size (32 vs 64).

We can skype and I will be able to confirm via screensharing. Let me know at [email protected]

  • Purchased the Full version today and it installs Successfully. However the installer (I watched it) does not install any of the Plugins or needed files into the (Program Files\Daz 3D\Daz Studio 4) Directory. it only installs the (Daz 3D\Headshop plugin)

however the InstallLog states differently showing it successfully installed in Daz Studio 4.. but the files are nowhere to be seen

I even tried installing as admin and it did not install the needed daz studio 4 files

Okay okay PLEASE NOTE!! this is for those who have daz studio installed on another Directory other than C:\
Even though you are selecting the Directory to intall the headshop plugin (i.e. G:\Program files\Daz 3D\Headshop plugin) the intaller will still install the plugins to C:\Program files\Daz 3D\DAZStudio4

  • Good point Wallace3D! People who encountered this issue should check that the three files are in the proper folder.

    The files are:

    • abaloneHeadShopLoader.dll - goes to DAZStudio4/plugins folder
    • FaceShop application - goes to DAZStudio4/bin folder
    • FaceShop folder - goes to DAZStudio4/resources folder

    Also see in manual: https://printahead.net/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/HeadShop11manual.pdf

  • well now I have the headshop plugin in daz and when I select it it loads the program until I select an image... I then get a message "DAZ Model not found" and it then errors out.

My Data folder is on a seperate drive then my Daz Studio

    for example i have J:\Program Files\Daz 3D\DAZStudio4 and my library files are in F:\My DAZ 3D Library\data

I looked in the FSConfig file ans see that the path uses a root directory data/Daz%203D/

any reason why it would error out?

See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.************** Exception Text **************System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot info_b3470fa520 and I were able to fix my problem. First off, my Daz installation was a little messed up and unorthodox, and I was actually installing HeadShop to the wrong place. After we got past that, HeadShop would say "Daz model not found." info_b3470fa520 fixed this by having me set my Temporary Files and DSON Cache Files folders back to their default settings, under Edit > Preferences.

preferences screen, word "default" is circled

Thanks a lot for the help!

Thanks, Janus3003! This resolved my immediate problem, too.

Unfortunately, even with these directories reset to their defaults, I intermittently see this problem, apparently for other reasons.

Before seeing your tip, I opened a separate forum post specifically about this error. Now that I've found your solution, I'm cross-linking. I'll leave my other post available since it's specifically about the "Daz model not found" error, so it should be easy for people to find.
