Completely un-install Garibaldi? How to?

Mac 10.7.5/DS 4.7
I need to un install Garibaldi, and start all over. Can't find an uninstaller. I tried to delete the GB shader and the GB plug-in from the applications folder/DAZ3D, and re installing them. The basic problem I'm having is I'm able to create a hair but when choosing "edit GB hair" DS crashes. And the reason is probably I picked the wrong CPU option when starting DS first time after installing GB (First time GB offers two choices of configuring the hardware). Can't find a way to edit that setting now. Any help would be most appreciated!

So, since I got no replies in tech-help I'm moving it to the commons in the hope that somebody has an idea;)
Hi. If you use Windows and already deleted files from plugins and shaders folders. Run "regedit", there HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> DAZ ->Studio4 -> GaribaldiPlugin. Delete GaribaldiPlugin folder.
ups.. didn't read first line. Found this: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1864384 Maybe this will help.
Hi, I'll take a look, did you install witgh DIM or manual?
Tks, I used the GB installer.
OK, I started to test on a machine where I haven't run it, and I got this dialog on first edit:
If you look under Help-ZAbout installed plugins, and select Garibali Hair, there is a link to thier documentation, and it says that uninstalling is as you did, so if you do not get that dialog again, there is something saved somewhere saying it has been displayed, but I did not find any updated files while DS was running.
Does it crash as soon as you go into edit?
I just created a cube, then created a Garibaldi hair to it, then selected the hair and did edit Garibaldi hair, and I get the Garibaldi dialog (where in the menu you can select Reset Graphics settings...
/ Totte
Tks Totte! Yup with the GB shader and plugin installed I can create a GB hair, but as soon as I choose edit I get the spinning wheel of death and DS crashes. The hardware dialog box doesn´t open and is nowhere to be found. If I uninstall, the "create GB hair" option is gone, as it should, also the plugin doesn't show in the "about installed plugins" menu. When re-installing I get those options back but not teh hardware selection dialog box.
ETA: Would I need to delete the serial number to get the box to show? And how do I do that?
Then I would guess Mac 10.7.5/DS 4.7 is too low OS X or DS version. What does the doc says, and can you post a crashlog here?
It's for 4.5 up, I'll check the log!
Here is the relevant part after re-opening DS and creating GB hair, edit GB hair and crash:
In Console.app ( in /Applications/Utilities) inn the sidebar under User reports you have the crash report from DAZ Studio.
Ok, this is what you mean?
Crashes when initializing OpenGL within the Garibaldi Plugin, on a null pointer.
Something is either missing or incorrect. I think you should, as a test, make a copy (drag a copy to the desktop) of the com.daz.Studio4.plist (found in ~/Library/Preferences/ and then open the original with TextWranger (or some other editor that can open zipped text files and doesn't break files) and find these lines
And look for the line
<key>GaribaldiPlugin.globalUseOpenGLShaders</key>
does the next line say <false/> or <true/>?
I can't find a com.daz.Studio4.plist in library/preferences, only a bunch of com.apple.xxx. Did a spotlight search, nothing on my computer. What am I missing?
~Library, from your home directory
Are you looking in /Users/iam/Library/Preferences/ ?
The daz plists are there, just type daz in the filter box in finder.
Damn, totally lost here, this is what I have in the home directory, no library:
When I click to open the HD, this is what I see:
That's the only library I can see.
Ah, you need to activate show Library then (Apple hides it in Finder).

Tks so much, will look into it:)
Ok so I found the com.daz.Studio4.plist, dragged a copy to the desktop, opened the original with text editor, have read through everything a couple of times, can't find that line, no reference to Garibaldi whatsoever, what am I doing wrong this time?
OK, do you have the one that was sold through the DAZ Store or the recently free released one?
The free version, it installed with no problems on an iMac with both DS 4.9 and 4.10 beta.
Then maybe it has problems with DS 4.7 and OS X 10.7. I only tested on 4.10 and 4.11 Public Beta.
You could probably if you download TextWrangler (still freee) fo a file search for files containing Garibaldi.
But as I said, the crash as you descible it happens before anything else than the UI is loaded. What graphics card do you have on that machine btw? You can see in the dialog screenshot which option you should have set.
Graphics Intel GMA 950 64 MB. Problem is I can't get that dialog box to show anymore, so can't set any options, pretty sure that's why DS crashes in the first place.
You know, after you've installed GB, when launching DS, you'll get the box to enter your serial nr, and when rendering the first GB hair the box wher you choose the right hardware (two options). I don't get that box anymore, probably the serial nr is stored somewhere even after uninstall. I would need to find the box and enter the proper hardware choice.
You should have found Garibali stuff in ther plist file, must be there, checked, all my systems have it there.
Ok I'll have another go at it! Tks Totte for helping out!
TextWrangler won't run on my system unfortunately, would you happen to know another free app that could handle the plist file? Cannot find any Garibaldi related lines with text editor, and a local search only shows the GB install disc + thumbnail png and the plugin/shader and some GB dsf preset probably related to some product I've purchased.
On the download page of BareBone Software it do say:
Older versions
