dForcing Aave Nainen's pre-dForce garments
I thought since the PC+ for a day was so well recieved and the question has come up numerous times that I would post a couple of tips on how to make my pre-dForce garments work with dForce.
The majority of my pre-dForce garments can be dForced quite nicely if you turn BEND STIFFNESS down to .30 or lower (go lower if the garments explode at that setting).
All other dForce surface settings can be left at default.
Anything with buttons or name tags etc. will need some creative weight painting to make them work (sort of) with dForce :).
Most of my garments also have plenty of surfaces so that bodices can almost always be set to a lower simulation strength so that shoulder straps etc. don't fall off the figure.
Make sure to turn Smoothing Modifier back on after applying dForce Modifier.

Thank you very much for this information
I used the scene file you posted on ShareCG last year when dForce came out. Works wonderfully on the Boho dress:
Ah, thanks, this is super helpful!
Thank you, this is really useful
May I ask what scene file you're referring to? How do I find it on shareCG? Hope it's still available. Just now hearing about it when reading the thread.
Thx.

The dForce settings on the garment may be a little outdated, if so setting all back to default and then just reducing Bend Stiffness as above should do the trick.
Awesome Aave! Thanks for the info :)
Awesome thanks! I just downloaded it and am about to have fun.
And a big thanks to Aave Nainen for providing this. Speaking of pre-dforce days, i bought several of her outfits that were made for specific sets of poses. They looked dforced or dynamic, but very cool to use.
