Odd Things Happening With Genesis 8 Female

In the last couple of days, my Genesis 8 Female base figure is doing some strange things. When I double click to load her in the scene, it asks me if I want to save the current scene? That's never happened before, usually she just loads. Bigger problem is that she won't accept any morphs. From any character. I can load a different G8F character and they load correctly but if I am trying to load a character that you just *add* the morph to (doesn't load independently) then it won't work. At all. I've tried uninstalling and re installing G8F and its not helping.

Have you checked out the log in Daz Studio?
Maybe you have installed some new stuff, that screwed up G8F.
I will check it out thanks!
Doesn't seem to be anything specific in the log file. Clearly, something has changed but I can't figure out what.
What happens if you use the dial instead of the morph button?
It seems to work most of the time with the dial. However, its a major pain to have to track down both the head and body morphs, especially when typing in the name in the search bar doesn't work. And there is no way she should be acting like a scene file instead of a character.
So, my log file is telling me that the morphs are loading. However, they clearly are not. I've tried redownloading about 10 characters that aren't workign and that changes nothing. I've tried about 40 different morphs and 90% of them are not working. I've got hundreds of characters now that i suspect won't work. I'm starting to freak out just a little bit. I don't know where to look to fix this. I can't do promos of characters whose morphs won't show up. I've uninstalled and re installed G8f about 6 times now. the starter essentials and the body and head morphs as well. Also, the characters that are not loading, do not have a morph dial showing in the morph panel, even though they are clearly in my runtime and are all where they should be as far as file structure goes.
This sounds a little bit like a problem I had in the past, where I'd somehow managed to create a copy of the Charlotte 8 shape that Daz was loading on to every G8F model, even after I'd uninstalled Charlotte 8 to try to fix it... or at least it sounds enough like it that it's possible the same solution might work.
I'm not certain this will work, but try uninstalling G8F, use "Browse to Asset location" to then track down where it thinks the scene file is (I couldn't do this with the morphs, as they don't allow that, so you may have an easier time - I had to search my hard drives myself), then remove that conflicting file (you may also have to remove the orphaned index entry) before reinstalling.
The original thread I created on my own problem is here:

Thank you! I will go check out your thread and give it a try.
