Sudden shoe issue (G8)

So this is a random issue that has just suddenly popped up. But now any time I put shoes onto this particular character, it will automatically pose the feet all the way back, and also deform the shoe itself. This happens whether I add high heels, or flat sneakers, or combat boots, it doesn't matter. Now, while I can just go into each foot and manually adjust the angle to be correctly placed, but I can't seem to do anything about the distorted shoes. I've spent like 4 hours today perfecting this character (Partially to also learn how to more quickly perfect others later), and this issue has only started happening now that I've become satisfied with her. Naturally I don't want to just start over. I've tried applying various "Zero" poses which are meant to T-pose the character, but the feet are oddly unaffected. Any idea what to do?

  • I would suspect that there's some kind of adjustment or corrective pose kicking in that should be triggered only in certain circumstances. Try loading a pair of shoes on a zeroed figure (no pose or shape) - does it still happen? If so, check the Currently Used group in the Editor tab of the Parameters pane to see what is happening, and if nothing is showing open the pane's option menu (the lined button in the top corner or right-click the tab) and enable SHow Hidden Properties.

Interesting. I had some weird sliders I've never seen before that were all up to 100%. Not sure how that happened, but that did correct my issue.
