Corners! I hate corners!!

I’m really struggling to find environments with realistic edges and corners! No corner looks that perfect in real life and it’s one of the biggest disadvantages of using 3D environments.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Just a rant I guess...

I simply add props to break up the clean lines. I haven't encountered too many nature environments with clean lines, lately.
The right kind of lighting can help also camera angle too.
This is more true of older content and content on some other stores. More current environments, from people like Stonemason, will typically have much nicer detail
Edge beveling/filleting tools have existed in modeling programs for many years now, even in Hexagon.
There is no excuse for this in a newly submitted prop/set piece in he store IMHO.
Litte wonder why the "photorealism Threads are typically a close up of a naked figure in an emtpy universe.
Perfect 90 degree angles on props and clothing with ZERO edge thickness.
This is why, in addtion to clothing, I will soon be modeling my own Sci fi environments inspired by the HALO and MASS effects video game lore.
Yes I agree with Wolf it is almost always down to beveling the edges. The desire to keep resource requirements low very often models are made with insufficient polygons and undersized textures when compared to a well modeled and well texture human figure. There will certainly be a mismatch between the high quality figure and the low quality environment. All the best Karuki!
The Super thin clothes irk me too!
I'd give anything for a well modelled scene that had nice realtic edges, even if it's small.
I'm currently working on a pool scene with lots of edges and they look so sharp :(
Clothing is tricky because if you give it true depth, you then wrestle with layers clipping. The best clothing I've seen for that either use very clever textures that make the edges look like they have depth, or add full geometry only on the trim.
Agree with the OP; it can take time to get over that.
Draping (or the lack of dynamics) used to be the cloth-realism (or at least believability) killer in Studio; now it's perfect edges with infinite thinness. It takes time to get round those that exist.
I mostly use Marvelous Designer and the export the OBJ with thickness to give better realism. Best of both worlds, but longer work flow and have to create the clothes myself...
