Issue with iray render

Hello everybody,

I've an issue with rendering of a character based on G8F with some morph made by me...the forhead is not rendered correctly. I already tried to reapply all texture, change light, etc etc. but nothing change. I've this issue only with this character and not with the others I've made. Any suggestion?

Thank you

  • I had the same problem. It seems that when you get that strange pattern, you have to move the Genesis figure back to 0,0,0 position. If you have a set around her you will have to move all of it (including lights) to follow the figure.

Thank you very much...I just tried and it works. Is a mistery why happens only with this character surprise also because i need to move it in a complex scene with other characters that don't have this issue ;) still better this solution so thanks again!!!

I've been looking into this, and I read solutions that editing the scalp might work too. You can scale it (not tried that yet) , instead I changed the "receive shadows" property in the Surfaces tab of the scalp and it worked for me. Only time this has happened.

That sounds interesting. I'll try it too. It would really be interesting to know why this happens. How on earth does the figure's position in the world space affect the forehead?
