Loooooooove it!! He reminds me more than a little bit of the main vamp in Salem's Lot (the 70's version - which scared the bejeezuz outta me when I was a kid btw...lol).
Thanks Josh! :D

Which, in turn, was heavily inspired by the design of Count Orlok from the German 122 silent film, "Nosferatu".

I figured, pretty much that.
Was trying to resist getting that bundle, but I finally fell for his hypnotic gaze..
Not sure how well that coat will work with any sort of active poses.
Now, in the original movie, he just walked around while standing at attention, but I love the coat for a more active character.
I got the Count Outfit. Love it! I'm satisfied with Nosferatu as my arch-vampire. Thanks, @Mada for the extra features on the coat and pants, and for your signature feature-highlighting promos, which add perceived value and tell me stuff I might not have found out otherwise (like the thigh handles).
I can not get the coat to load as a separate item(installed via DIM). It only loads with the "wear it all" option. Anyone else having that issue?
Still need a Dracula-style costume (for the cloak, if not whole Victorian suit), but an Orlok costume was second on my old suggestion list! So glad someone's made this. :)
A shame it's not G3-compatible (considering all the vampiric products available for that), as it would have perfectly matched up with Raw Art's Nosferatu, but the Platinum Club discount for the entire bundle was excellent and allowed me to match it with this superb HD-detailed Orlok-alike and the pose set (which seem just about relevant enough for my G8 range of creatures).
Way too scary for me. I got the outfit though, looks very sharp and I love Mada's clothes
Yes I can't get it to load either.
The outfit is a rather a mess.
Errors on trying to apply the coat mats and some of the pants mats aren't doing anything.
I filed a supprot ticket regarding the coat. Didn't notice the pants issues.
Wow, the clothing is awesome but the count itself I can do without.
Yep I am having the same issue with both the coat and pants
Glad you like the outfit, Josh did a fantastic job with the Count and it was a privilege to work with him on a project :)
For now you can delete the pants and shoes after using Load All as a workaround, I'm am sure customer support will get the files sorted asap, as well as the pants mat files... if you can let them know how you installed (dim, connect or manual) that will help to trace the issue - thanks!
The outfit is amazing. Nice job Mada. Lots of uses for that too...
Hiding a bit of this and retexturing a bit of that makes for a more modern looking set as well.
hah! that looks great :D
Looks great.
It need some a modern winter coat texture expansion.
I'm a bit confused as to how issues like these even got past testers let alone QAV.
Strangely enough, Barlow was not one of my references used to put this guy together, though I do see the resemblance lol.
I tried to keep the classic Orlok in mind while doing this guy and put my own spin on it.
It works very well from what I can tell. In fact Mada was quite particular about there not being any poke on some of the poses I was using, and as far as I can tell she was very successful. But I didn't put it through the stress test honestly, but she is awesome to work with, I'll say that much :)
I enjoy most of Crockett's stuff up till now as I could see something sympathetic, even humorous in them. But this guy badly needs some dentistry AND a manicurist. Why heck I’d be afraid to render him for fear it’s bad breath would kill me.
Quick question regarding the Count before I buy: Can the teeth be dialed in separetely? I really like the design of the character himself, but the huge teeth are a bit much for my taste... I guess I prefer my vampires with better dentistry.
I'm betting some people are wondering why Count Orlok in "Nosferatu" had elongated incisors rather than canines, as we usually depict vampires today. Funny enough, real life vampire bats have razor sharp incisors; but they evolved to "nick" the skin rather than puncture it, allowing them to lap up blood without unduly stressing the host animal. But i don't think the "average" person of the 1920s knew this, especially since vampire bats are "new world" creatures.
No, Orlok's design was to evoke a creature far better known to Europeans, one that helped bring about the death of literally millions, the rat. (Yes, I know it was technically the fleas that spread the Black plague, but the rats carried the fleas and the peasants of that era would not have deduced the true cause.) Given the teeth, pointed nose, ears and spindley, gnarled hands, all that was missing was a hairless tail. Please, this is not meant as a slam against those who own rats as pets. Those raised in clean environments and introduced to humans early make charming pets. And because they are social creatures, they are less likely to bite their caregivers than, say, ahamster, which is solitary by nature. But like it or not, rats have had a bad reputation for centuries. So, if you want to depict a truly detestable monster, you might as well give it the attributes of the creature(s) you loathe the most.
Sincerely,
Bill
No, it's an all-in-one shaping morph.
It's possible that some shaping morphs for teeth could be put into a negative value, to see if you could revert them, but that's often risky and has odd effects.
Like I said above, this is my take on the classic Orlok/Nosferatu design.
I typically try to do something a little different from the normal stereotype a character might fall into. Some like it, some don't. There are plenty of "vampire" teeth out there if that's what you're looking for.
I'm not a "morph" artist, I'm a creature and character artist, and that is exactly how I approach my characters. As full chraracters meant to be dialed and used as is.
If you're creative enough though, I'm sure you can come up with something using a little imagination. I've seen people do very cool things with my characters that I would never expect to see, so that being said, hate it or love it, that's my philosophy and approach to characters.
Love it, Josh - he's fantastic!
Glass needs some work in the last image as rendering of transparent surfaces has always been a challenge in my NPR work. Also, the volumetrics are obviously missing. This is the bane of my existence, and like the squirrel in Ice Age, this is a nut I can't seem to crack!
That being said, it's still cool to get both renders out of the same scene. He looks great (I particularly like the sculpting on the hands), as does the coat that @Mada made. The pose is from @-dragonfly3d- (modified version of one included in the bundle), and seem to fit his character. Not sure whether he doesn't like getting his picture taken, or he's striking a pose . . . vogue!

As a child we had kid in our class with terrible "buck teeth". Now I know what bullying will do to people.
Okay so now I need a good manicurist!
hahahaha - it took me a minute to register the shiny new pearlies - love all the images :D
I'm loving this new version! Had to add my two fangs, er, two cents worth too.

I bought this on the day of release, but have been too busy with work all week to have a play with this wonderful figure. As soon as I saw him, this is the scene that I had in my head. Sepia tone and grain added in postwork - it does seem strange adding grain to an iray image after all the time I spend trying to avoid it.
Thank you to Josh Crockett for yet another fantastic, high-quality creature.
