Phoenix Design for a Shield?
I'm working on a project for class and would like a knight's style shield (I love the Griffin and Lion War styles) with a phoenix design on it. I've checked through Daz and the usual other sites, but I can't find anything that natively has what I'm looking for and I'm not an adept 3D modeler myself. Does anyone have any suggestions for where I could look? The phoenix is intended to symbolize the constant cycle of renewal and rebirth.
On a completely separate tangent, if anyone knows of a good Mumm-Ra style model (ever living or just mummy), I'd love to find that.
Edit: I'm probably going to use it with Genesis 3 Male as the other clothing I have that would fit well is for G3 Male.

It's not as close to aclassical PHeonix as I would like, but it might work: https://www.daz3d.com/white-knight-for-genesis-3-female-s
Do you already have a shield? If not, there is a free one by Lucien_Lilippe available here:

Either way, if you replace the diffuse channel image with one to your liking representing a phoenix motif, that should give you something along the lines of what you seem to be looking for. If you cannot or do not want to create your own phoenix, there are a number of possible sources available here that could be adapted to your needs:

They may be used as is or adapted, although some require attribution. For example, using Lucien Lilippe's shield, I created a new diffuse image by resizing the image: Phoenix, Mythological bird by Diafora from the above-noted Wikimedia page and pasted in onto a plain black background created using one of the original texture maps provided with the shield. The result is shown in the image below.
Holy crap, that's beautiful. I have no idea what you said to do, but maybe I can play around with it and see, or maybe there's a Youtube tutorial.
Give it a try yourself, Phoenix Knight, and see what you can come up with. I can't really take any credit as I didn't create either the shield prop I used, nor the image I used to texture it. The credit there goes to Lucien Lilippe and Diafora, respectively. If you wish to use that particular shield and are having difficulty achieving the desired results, then I could provide you with a copy of the new texture map that I prepared for the example, as distribution or sharing is allowed under the license terms with certain conditions.
I do like that shield, and definitely put it on my shortlist to consider, but agreed it's not exactly what I'm looking for. I think maybe I'm getting the hang of what SixDs mentioned and use my own image, so I'm giving that a try. Getting it to lay on the shield just right is tricky, though.
