Official line characters are not repeated in every generation. Many of the characters of Genesis 1 did not make a return in Genesis 2, and the same is true for later generations. So, if you get to see a specifically named  "Ophelia 8" at all is uncertain.  And even if it will come, no one knows except for DAZ, and they are not likely to spill the beans.

You wouldn't happen to know the most detailed muscular hd add on for Genesis 8 Female?

These morph packs should allow you to add muscles and vascular to any Genesis 8 female character.

Musculature HD Morphs for Genesis 8 Female

Vascular products. (I beleive for these to show up you will need to render. So to test after you apply them render your scene.)

Add Some Veins HD for Genesis 8

Vascularity HD for Genesis 8 Female and Male

Unfortunately those don't provide the same detail as Ophelia 7's HD muscular definition add-on.

I'm looking for a Genesis 8 character that has this kind of HD-Add on detail:

    https://www.daz3d.com/ophelia-7-hd-add-on

I can't find any Genesis 8 figure with that kind of HD detail.

(Please limit images to a width of 800 px. It will avoid stretching. ~Mod)

You could just take Ophelia herself and a Genesis 3 character.

+1 to this - I've taken a lot of characters from previous generations to G8 and they look brilliant.

You were able to transfer Ophelia 7's HD details to a Genesis 8 character?

From what I've heard, I don't think that HD morphs can be transferred between generations of figures. You could try transferring Ophelia 7's morph to G8 and use another character's HD add-on for the musculature and details. The Gia 8 HD add-on might work for you if you're looking for some muscle tone and little details like veins and natural wrinkles. Or just take a look at Gia 8 herself and see if she'd be useful for you.

The problem with the Genesis 8 HD-Addon advertisements is that they don't show any detail with a proper IRAY render.  It's just a white texture. So there's no way of knowing how detailed the HD addon texture is until you buy it and apply it, it sucks.

It looks like the Genesis 3 HD-Addon's have a lot more detail and work put into them.

  • bit of a mixed bag when it comes to the HD add ons some add lots more detail than others. Some of the males have tons of detail. Some women do to but others not so much and yes it is hard to tell on the no texture. Don't have the HD for Charlotte or Stephanie 8 think Steph had bit of detail athletic in her HD. Doing some simple renders of the ones I have HD for even the non muscle ones just so you can see, Gia isn't bad and the older ones have fair bit of detail I'll post them in your other thread once done may take awhile gotta go to work

  • oh correction do have Steph 8 hd

The HD add on is a morph so showing on an untextured figure gives a better look at it than on a textured figure.

  • If you like Ophelia 7 and her HD-add-on then why not just buy and use her?  Why do you need it to be a Genesis 8 model?  Just because Genesis 8 is the new models doesn't mean that the previous models (like Genesis 3) are bad or out of date.  Actually I find that Genesis 8 and Genesis 3 are not that different except for a few small things.  If you only want to buy a Genesis 8 character because it is new, then you might be missing out on some really great models and characters.

It also matters how high you turn up sub d; some specify sub-d at level 4.

I view that as going backwards. While I still use G3 often and even G2, and genesis 1 to a degree, I watch very carefully what I spend on older figures. DAZ officially stops support of a figure once a new one is released which means nothing new is coming for them from DAZ. So if there are certain kinds of addons I am waiting for like a military dress uniform or something that doesn't already exist for an older figure, then I see that as a reason to focus on the newer figure rather than spend money on the older one unless it's a crazy deal or something really affordable. Whenever there is a crazy deal on older clothing my primary thought is can I use it on the latest figure, not the figure it was designed for.

So if I needed an Ophelia type figure and the G8 version wasn't out yet, the V7 version would have to be really cheap for me to consider it..
