What is going on with Daz support?

I now have two unsolved tickets open - one was started on Sep 17. I received communication from Daz support after a few days, but the conversation has been dragging on - my last mail just checking what the status is on a possible product refund hasn't been responded to since Oct 9! Then another recent issue (all are related to Genesis 2 characters or morphs that don't work properly in Carrara 8.5 (not the standard black eye issue for Gen 2 males), came up, and this support request has been floating unanswered since Oct 19.

Is Daz running on skeleton staff or what? it's never been like this before. Is anyone else experiencing this?

  • So Technical Suppor tickets rather than sales? Those can take a while as things need to be checked.

Thanks, that is understandable. But, are two weeks not a bit long without receiving any response after a status query?

Usually my responses are months after ticket submission. They usually tell me they won’t fix it or ask if I still need help. I’ve stopped bothering and just ask for refunds now.

I imagine they are swamped with requests about problems with the current and previous sale. If you requested a refund and haven't heard anything since October 9, something might be wrong.

Go the the page to submit a help request and click on the "Sign In" button at the top right. After signing in with your Daz account, that Sign In button will change to a button with your name on it. Click on your name and select "My Activities". That will list all of your help requests and their current status.

Is the status of the request still "Open"? Or has it been marked "Awaiting Your Reply" or "Solved"? Have they requested documentation from you that you haven't submitted yet, like order number?
