  • I gotta say I'm loving the 'PC+ for the day' sale idea, and DAZ is getting a lot of money from me on things that I had no intention of buying.  Throw this stuff in that instead of pulling the products.

Daz doesn't have the rights to put things in PC+ that they don't own, so it wouldn't work. Daz would have to get the PA's permission or buy it from them.

For what I see, most of these PC for a day items are not DO, so there are PAs willing to do this. And yes, this way I leave them my money. Horrible spending months...

But that's not the sale; PC+ members are getting an extra 10% off the sale for PA new releases for a day, but they are not in the spirit of being a DO for the day... also PC+ items are buyouts where PAs receive 0% of the sales.. so you could imagine PAs probably would object to DAZ taking all the profit for themselves.

The items in the PC+ For A Day section of the daily sale are not PC+ items, but they are priced at PC+ prices for that day only.

  • And only 3 of the 12 offered today are DO items.

I said that. My comment comes from a previous conversation where DAZ cannot take PA items and make them PC items.

The items are not "turned" into PC items. But they cost just 1.99$ like the old style PC items did cost. As that is a pretty steep discount, either the PA must've agreed to sell at such a low price, or be otherwise compensated. That is what is currently being speculated...

Let me put this image here of the actual conversation I'm quoting so people actually post on what I said in response to instead of what they think I said without actually reading the context.

EDIT: There is a PC+ promotions opt ins PAs can choose, which can explain this price... not all PAs will opt in for those promotions.

Well, you were referring to that it's not part of the sale. But it is part of the sale. So, your answer is kind of confusing for the unaided reader (like myself)... I mean, what you say about PC+ items is true, but it's not an answer to the question that is being asked, and that was being quoted by you. *sigh* I am really confused by this, but perhaps I'm really also just misunderstanding things.

Again, I posted what I said. I'm not sure why there's argument what others think I said. Let's move this forward.

  • This is not a typical, and like I said, the PA would have to respond and agree/sell the product. Contact can be an issue particularly for older products/non-active PA's.

  • actually what your all saying made me think again, when the Japanese Courtyard was released it had a higher discount than the usual 30% off plus if I remember there was an extra discount if you bought two or more items plus PC members got another discount so perhaps for the creator that was too much of a discount off their product for them and didn't agree to it so it was pulled as there was a lot in this product and being brand new and what they offered they may have wanted a better deal

  • hopefully those of us that were lucky quick enough to buy this wont get burned

  • Since this is turning argumentative, and since we are limited to speculation, the thread is being locked.
