You are right. There is a texture for it. There just doesn't seem to be a link in the library for it. I had to manually add it in the Surfaces section. This needs to be fixed.

I can't test this yet, but if you have the genitals applied to the base figure, select the figure and apply one of the figure textures, does it apply the textures and material settings to the genitals? I know for Rawart's figures for instance, the same file in the library often applies the genitals settings as well, there isn't a separate file to apply those settings.

Honestly, kind of done with viking warriors conan thing. I hope that he has some regular clothing.

Plenty of G8-compatible contemporary clothing in the store. Just use some of that. :)

No G8-compatible Viking stuff, however, up until now.

Not really much for G3, either, sadly...

That means buying additional stuff. So not really the same thing. winkProviding a bundle with more diverse clothing would be preferable to buying content some of us will not use, and it’s not as though there is a lack of fantasy male warrior garb in pro bundles.

I bought Vladimir 8 Pro Bundle, but I'm having problems with installing it with Daz Connect. This has been my experience so far. Maybe it will help someone else with the same problems know they are not alone.

    1. The dForce Templar Outfit installs but every file is corrupt. This product is totally unusable.
    2. The Poseidon Outfit is nowhere to be seen. So, I tried to install it using the offline installation package available in my Product Library. That installs, but every file is corrupt - another totally unusable product.
    3. The MRL Buzz Cut Hair has no product thumbnail. This is an issue for both Daz Connect and DIM.
    4. Daz Studio crashed with no error message (just closed) while simulating the Blacksmith shirt and apron in a simple standing pose with forearms bent.

So now I've wasted a lot of time today writing help requests about these issues.

Edit: Added item 4 to the list.

    I appreciate you.

Same here. I love just about everything with the Vladimir release, but I'm not trimming my cart. I'm a greedy boy who wants his toys. ;-)

Haha this made me laugh :-) Guess I'll be picking up some new toys today too

That Throne of Vikings TV show and things like that are popular on TV now and so is making violent video games and one seens the renders in DAZ's own Gallery for DAZ customers so from a marketing stand point DAZ is giving many customer what they want. The latest fad of bad guys looses to good guys.

I like the bundle particularly Vladimar and particularly the blacksmith outfit.

I like the buzz cut hair but is it fibre or polygons? My Slosh G2M similar verior of short buzz cut hair doesn't work so well anymore it seems in Genesis 8/DAZ 4.11.

The templar outfit I would have liked to buy conceptually but the chainmail looks as flat as a piece of paper.

I've done some experimenting. If you bring in the Gen 8 Male and attach the genetallia and then apply all materials it will work. However, virtually every other male character has a genetalia option in the folder, usually two. I think this should be fixed.

I love the character and kind of found of the bunde, although  why couldn't they have added one (1) single sci-fi outfit? Now we'll have to wait until 18:th of december or something for the next male which mean I'll have to keep on tweaking G3F and G8F outfits on my space faring men. And I'm getting bored with that now.

SciFi costuming is where you find it.  Hide the bootlaces on the Medieval Villager outfit it's actually not a bad Flash Gordon outfit, especially if you add the headpiece from the Poseidon set, while the Templar outfit is just a few new shaders away from being either Ming the Mercless (or a Jedi's robe.)

That's a fairly common setup with male characters, I've got several that behave that way.

They're called hierarchical materials settings, and they work because the attached anatomical bits are parented as well as geografted to the Genesis figure. They started being used on a few Genesis 3 characters, and now in Genesis 8 they're more common; I think at least half of the characters I have use these settings.

There's absolutely no excuse for this. I mentioned hours ago btw (about an hour after the store turned over) about the Blacksmith Shirt being totally useless in dForce, that I had done a simple pose and dForce exploded. (#4)  WHO TESTS THESE PRODUCTS? That's a massive fail.

Well, dForce is still a work in progress. I didn't even submit a help request about the crash. There was no log or error info to report. I reloaded the scene and changed the pose. I got it to complete a Simulation, but it seems unusually sensitive and failure prone. I was annoyed at the dForce of the apron. It uses a weight map to prevent the neck strap from simulating, it stands out away from the neck and shoulders. You have to fiddle with morphs and smoothing to fix it after Simulation. But at least it HAS a few morphs.

I have tried Optitex, VWD, and dForce. Each have ups and downs, but all of them will fail, sometimes spectacularly, depending on a variety of factors.

I finally got a Vladimir image completed. To get the Blacksmith outfit to simulate successfully, I had to move the arms far away from the body and unbend the forearms quite a bit from my original pose. I'm not sure what part of the pose caused the original simulation crash and burn. Usually if there is intersection, it will explode and/or cause "error during simulation". I'm not used to dForce just shutting down Daz Studio with no warning. Hopefully that was a one time thing.

Virtually all of the figures have a genetalia option within the character folder and also the gens materials folder Usually there is a circumcised or uncircumcised option. For this figure there isn't one. I don't even think you can get to the texture through the materials folder in smart content. I own just about every male character since Michael 2. This is for the Ward character only. The others are all OK.

Why, we do, of course. Especially with the Daz Connect stuff not installing, and even moreso it seams with Daz's own Pro Bundles. I didn't get Gia, but the last like 5 or 6 pro bundles I've gotten have had at least one thing in them that either would not install, didn't work, or was missing some files. Eventually they got fixed, but only after the testers (customers) reported issues.

Barbult, you're my hero as well, there have been more then a few times you've helped me with your posts about this kind of stuff. Thank you, and I hope Daz starts to give you discounts or paychecks for all the work you do for them.

I had everything downloaded and installed from the Pro Bundle about 2 hours after the bundle launched and I'm not having any issues with the outfits or hair.

Here they are on Vladimir 8 (with the "Thin" and "Lithe" morphs applied to him):

I just saw an update in Daz Connect for the Blacksmith outfit and the MRL Buzz Cut. No documentation about what changed. No update for the two corrupt packages I reported yet, though.

Are you sure there wasn't a download error or something on your end? I had everything downloaded just a couple hours after the bundle's launch and haven't updated anything and the outfits all work fine for me.

Can someone who got the Medieval Villager Outfit https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-medieval-villager-outfit-for-genesis-8-males and maybe the texture add-on https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-medieval-villager-outfit-textures confirm that the seam showing below the belt is a result of the tunic having two material zones down it's length or a deliberate part of the texture maps.

    Cheers .
