A better way to do the PRO bundle

davesodaveso Posts: 7,787

I like the new character...Vladimer .. BUT, not really much in the pro bundle.
Here is my thought ..which I'm sure someone might have posted before as its nothing that unique...

Anyway ...
The new character
Its HD addition
And then pool everything else and we get to pick the 10 items we want in our bundle. The odds of getting something WE want would be much higher.

The way it is now, its like cable TV ..125 stations and you only watch a couple of them.

The problem with doing that is that it would be end up being more like the Figure, the HD add-on, and a choice of perhaps six other items, as the HD Add-on is a $39.95 item and therefore the equivalent of at least two other items.  And that would have the people who don't buy the HD Add on irritated that they're losing items for a product that they won't use...  and there are a lot of people who don't use the HDs for a varitey of reasons.

I think the hd should be part of the pro bundle. I’d much rather have had morphs than outfits I won’t use. Plus pro means professional and pros will need hd ... seems strange to do it the way it’s done

And once the intro offer is over, there's no bundle anymore since there's no way Daz will keep an offer like that going on for all named character.

Daz tried the "build your bundle" offer with Dog 8 and now people complain that there's no pro bundle for him.

Are you sure that's what Pro means?  I thought it had to do with the fact that it was the only way to get the naughty bits and stood for "Profit Center."

Also, I suspect that part of the heavy discount and incentive offers for the Pro Bundle is predicated on the hope that we will buy the other items we actually want to go with it.

I was looking at the Pro Bundle & I think dropping one or both pose sets and adding the HD product and a third hair is a more enticing option to get higher sales of pro bundles. Well for me personally at least. Or drop a pose set & add the HD product in it's place.

But perhaps their sales data shows that hard core collectors will buy HD products even if they aren't included in pro bundles but those that don't care about the HD products weren't inspired to buy a pro bundle just because the HD product was added. Then have the pose sets as add-ons. Me I don't ever use HD products but they are liked for completelness in a Pro Bundle, after all, saying HD high resolution is pro quality and the moniker Pro Bundle seem to imply they would be bundled together.

I often use the HD options for closeup shots, where it makes a difference. I thought it was a great thing to have the HD in the pro bundle, as otherwise, I will only buy them much later for the specific character and try to use the HD options I already have... which doesn't always look good then.

I agree that the HD should be included.

I liked the "build your own bundle for the dog", I often don't get Pro Bundles because I have no use for a least half of it and the starter bundle never have the ones I want!

I never buy Daz's HD sets.

I like and mainly buy characters that include HD sliders/presets.

I'd buy fewer of the Pro sets if HD was included in preference to something else.
