That set of textures is meant to be "Kawaii," an aesthetic that embraces and exaggerates "cuteness." One of the staples of the style is to dress and act like a little girl, because in certain cultures that's a lot more enticing to men than acting like a sensual, mature woman. (She's "Senpai in the sheets," though. A Senpai is like a wise, knowledgable mentor.) I'm not saying this set is sleazy, by any means, because it's really tame. However, childlikeness is a major part of the Kawaii-look. It's not everyone's cup of tea, and the original set has several different textures already.

pfffft, I'm 49 and in the comfort of my own home I dress like that AND I own those headphones (in fact I bought them from brookstone, they cracked and brookstone replaced them YAY!).

I am also NOT a gamer.

Right not though I am working in Studio happily wearing my cat headphones that are lit up in purple and wearing a tank top and short pj set sitting cross legged in my office chair.

Also, my husband says I look pretty darned cute in my headphones... :-D

I'm not entirely sure clothing has age limits? (I must review my clothing tags LOL) Honestly she looks fairly young to me (I know that is all a matter of perspective) that said, I know women in their 40s that wear stuff like that. My own mom who just turned 60 has "cow" and "cat" PJs and I dare say Id not be brave enough to tell her she is too old for them heh. Everyone is only as old as they feel and what is appropriate is what each person feels is such. Its what ever makes you happy. I have seen 80 yr old women with purple or pink hair. Personally I think they generally rock it when they do it too.

Anyway I think she is beautiful and I like the attire personally but that is me personally and like with anything not everyone will agree smiley

how is she too old for "boy shorts" undies and a tanktop/singlet? Women and girls of any age can wear those.

Then it is a good job folks can wear want they want, not what others think is suitable for them.

it is very kawaii, yeah.  as the name of the texture set and tigeranne point out.

but the gamer girl gear is formal office wear compared to some outfits i've seen at friends' gaming get-togethers.

looks to me like a perfect next-morning 'jama set for ladies of all ages.  sleep in 'em, roll out of bed the next morning, grab a cup of coffee, and fire up the ps4.

also...really, the old-school mario brothers mega-pixel clouds and mushrooms on the one kawaii tee suggest over-thirty!-wear to me.

    (tastes differ, obviously.)

    :)

I love people "defending" it too - because there really is nothing to "defend". People of all ages can wear whatever they want - as long as it covers their "naughty bits" there is no need to try and police what others wear (real people or digital people). :)

had a guy ask me in the street why I was dressed all in black

I said because  I did not want to draw attention to myself from strangers who discus my wardrobe  unsolicited in the street, and rushed off angry

yeah let people wear what they want and STFU is my opinion
