Geometry shell clothing *sigh*

Let me start off by saying that i do not like this way of cloting.

I have a bodyglove set which is basically a leather bodysuit that comes in various materials, colours and styles.

One of the styles has an opening at the place where the genitals are. This is cool but i want to those parts as well for a mroe realistic look..

I have a feeling that the anatomical parts are also geometry shells causing that area to turn white when applied. How can i mix the 2 geometry shells and still get a good and realistic look.

geoshells apply to the whole figure...if you have the gens attached, the shell will cover them too.  You dont need to mix 2 shells....you just need to apply the materials to the gen surface on the shell.

I tried that With both the default G8 gen and Victoria one from renderotica.

Wait i need to apply them to the shell so not on the geometry like you normal do? The Victoria one comes with a shell if im not mistaken (I cant verify this as im at work) When i use the victoria gen i get 3 nodes. On of tehm is the shell i think.

It sounds to me like you need to unfit and hide the genitalia so the clothing will conform to the pubis's shape, not shrink-wrap the genitals. Then make sure that section of the shell is ON. I think you do that by selecting the shell in the Scene tab, then switching to the Parameters tab and looking for Shell > Visibility > Surfaces.

If the shell appears but is white or otherwise looks different from the rest of the bodyglove, make sure the shell is selected in the Scene tab, then go into to the Surfaces tab. There you will find all the shell's surfaces--which are copies of surfaces from the figure. You'll need to make sure the waist area is using the same shader as the torso (e.g. if the torso section is using the Iray Uber shader, the waist needs it as well, not the DAZ Default renderer). Once the shaders are the same, right-click on the torso part and choose the Copy command, then click on the waist part and choose the Paste command. If it turns out the textures aren't right, you may need to manually pick the textures for that area, but copying is still a good idea because it makes sure all the other settings are right.

Oh, that opening where the genitals are might be created with an Opacity map in the geoshell's waist area. You might have to clear that to get rid of the hole. When you do that, you might find the area isn't painted in, so it's possible you'd then have to use GIMP or Photoshop or something to create a new texture for that area based on the one it's already using.

Thanks for the explaination I may try this for educational purposes but it sounds to much hassle for a couple of renders. I will use the bodyglove as the result do look nice but witouth the cutout part or maybe usa a figure that has gen "painted" on the main skin texture. For this particular scene i will look for a different outfit. Also my photoshop skills are non excistance.

The genitals for G8F/M, V8/M are 'Geografts'. They are not 'Geoshells', two totally different things.
