Why is the Gia 8 figure herself not considered a "Debut New Item"? I put her in my cart, then added three "free" pose sets, but the poses aren't free. Gia just debuted today, so why isn't she considered a "Debut New Release"? Why are only the Gia 8 Add-ons considered "Debut New Items"?

The deal is if you buy the Pro bundle+ one debut release. Gia herself is already in the Pro bundle. You need to add *another* debut release to trigger the freebies.

Gia 8 Portrait - minor post effects with Nik Collection

This is a great potrait and I love the softness.  But I swear this looks more like Latonya than Gia.  Just an observation.  They look rather similiar to me or it might just be me.  Still, a wonderful image!

i think they all starting to look very similar, in certain ways.

Yet another pretty face, and the associated deals don't offer much incentive to buy, either. I'll pass.

5 feet 11 inches. still too short for volleyball or basketball. bummer

yeah, too bad there isn't some sort of magic dial out there to change a figures hieght. :)

The height morph in the body morph pack https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-female-body-morphs should let you take her anywhere between 5'6" and 6'4".  Not hugely tall, but it does give you some room to play with.

Figure metrics within measure metrics also lets you select various proportions.

Oh, I just saw the smiley face on your post.  So if you were commenting in jest please ignore my stupid responses LOL.

LOL, yeah.  It was all pretty much in jest. :)

Nice bundle but I rarely used Gia 7 as it is.  Not because she isn't beautiful and sexy, but she had that warrior vibe with the jungle and gladiator outfits and tough girl poses which I see in this bundle too. I guess that's her 'thing'.
There are 2 hairs in the Gia 8 bundle I'd love to have: Layla and Apex.. But I don't want to buy them separately. I'd love to get the Sonia hair for free, but you have to buy the pro bundle and a debut new release to get any of the hairs free. Sigh.
This is probably the first time I've had to pass a pro bundle....well other than the toony things and stuff like Kaylee and that genre. Not into faes or pixies. But my cc card will thank me.  Have fun and post renders!!

Deleted; my bad. I was thinking of Olmpia 6 and 7.

Never owned any Gia; passing this time too. I do like the shape Gia 8 though.

I put the GIA 8 pro in my cart.  Added 3 free featured pose packs and the hair  - there is no free hair or poses - see the screenshots.  I double checked to make sure they were from the featured item lists and they are.  So this would be a pretty good deal if they were really free; I added the promo ad screenshot as well

You need to add an Debut new release as well as Gia pro bundle to trigger the discount.

She's looks very Italian or generally Mediterranean I guess. She's pretty and a good story telling match to Darwin's Mishap's characters. A bit muscular for modern day people but about right for 50 years ago. She's not the Halloween character I was expecting. I oddly didn't get offered any discount although on the last pro bundle or two I got offered a discount for owning X number of Genesis 8 Pro Bundles, not a huge discount but a discount.

:Not for me, she is, in my opinion, a muscular Stephanie 8 with some Victoria 8 in the mix.

I like one of the hair a lot and shall buy it.

I do like Gia 8 but I'm having a bit of a odd feel regarding the muscles on her upper arms. Atleast from seeing some of the promos for her, and to me it don't look natural, but that could be because I don't have enough knowledge in muscularity. The promo below is what give me that feel, the way her right upper arm look, just seem .. wrong somehow. Can't really explain it better I'm afraid, but yeah.. as said, might be me not having enough knowledge.

Yes, I thought the same, it looks odd as if the muscle twists around.

Just bought the base and the hd morphs. She's a great action character out-of-the-box, but I feel the clothes sets have all been done before.

  • She looks nice, and I like her muscular build. But in the entire pro bundle and add-ons, only one hair and one set of poses appeal to me. There's just nothing of particular interest for me except for the AprilYSH Layla hair, and the extras aren't enough incentive to buy a bunch of stuff I feel like I can already kitbash together.

Couldn't agree more. I just got in from work and had a look at the sales page. I don't usually purchase addon characters, but I like to see my options. Personally I don't find her all that muscular or warrior type at all. I have dialed in characters I have done that are way more fitting in those roles that Gia. There are a few girls at my gym that could kick her butt, LOL

Kind of amazed at the lackluster sales promotion for Gia. You really don't get much at all for forking out for the pro bundle this time around.

There are a couple of outfits and pose sets I am really interested in though, and Arki's dforce hair looks really interesting.

Love these new pro 8 bundles! Just absolutely fantastic deals with all the add-ons and long term loyalty-customer benefits.

I'm really liking 1 or 2 pro bundles hitting each month.

I bought her and she's ok, but I still don't like how this gen many characters' faces look same-ish. In this regard Gia 8 is a Victoria 8 variant like Stephanie 8 or Olympia 8 (which is why I called her "unfinished" in another thread - getting the same vibe here). Getting "Gen 7 for Gen 8"-versions underscores that further - Gia 7 looks completely distinct, just like many other Gen 7 characters did, like Vicky 7, Eva, Karen, Gia & Olympia 7, Rune, Lilith or Ophelia.

I am still deciding whether to buy this or spring for some destinct characters I want like Mabel and Floyd.  I like her.. the whole warrior princess thing.  I am new to a lot of the characters, so I am wondering whether I could achieve similar results with muscular morphs on Victoria 8 or Charlotte 8?

You could probably get something similar in looks with Gia 8 if you use Charlotte 8 with muscular morphs.

I would say yes! Unless the character has a specific look like Floyd you can do a lot with the various morph packages. I do lots of warrior women type images and usually make my own characters

Mabel and Floyd add a lot more variety to your character selection. Gia is forgettable for me.

Loyalty discount still doesn't work for me.

edit: Never mind. For some reason, the "Add to cart" button didn't work on the pro bundle the first time I clicked it.

Here is my usual new character render. These are the 7 Gia 8 figures that were released today. You can see a larger render here. Minor post-work fixes were performed on the bikinis because they didn't fit exactly and didn't notice until after the render. But none of my post-work was on the figure skin or figures themselves.

Ooops!!! Just noticed that I flipped the names for Luci and Myrina. Sorry about that. I should really be in bed right now.

Gia 8 looks okay, but nothing in thus bundle stands out. It would have been an Insta Buy, but the bonuses aren't that great...... Cmon Daz, go back to offering 3 old bundles. I pretty much bought most of your Gen8 bundles purely because of that deal. I'm probably going to pass, even though I got a loyalty bonus.

I own both previous Gia bundles, and I think I've rendered Gia only a few times. While there is nothing specifically wrong wtih Gia 8, she doesn't overwhelm me with awesome vibes either. In my opinion the character shape-muscular warrior could use a redo in concept, as she's not really nearly as cool as she could be.

Ailikki and Myrina - I love these characters! :)

Both "out of the box" but with Ailikki's "pale base" setting applied and some of their makeup applied. :)

The hair are both from the pro bundle and the outfits are two of the outfits from the pro bundle (the dress is using one of the textures from the add-on). A very solid bundle, imo. :) I like the add-on characters as well.

Yes, I thought the same, it looks odd as if the muscle twists around.

Thought the same. That should be the triceps muscles, and they shouldn’t twist, cause its the muscle that help straight the arm, if it twists it cannot do that. Now there is a lateral muscle, but it doesn’t start there. So maybe something went wrong while posing, or is it the default morph?
