the previous version was working just fine for me thismorning.

i installed today's update, launched it, and voila:

according to the studio log, Painter is very not active.

i'd really like to fix this.  or rollback to the previous version.

    going to uninstall and reinstall, i guess, and cross my fingers.

    Uninstall/reinstall would be the fix - that usually indicates that DS was still running (probably in the process of shutting down) in the background when you installed the new version and that corrupted the style file; check Task Manager to be sure the process has fully ended before installing a new version.
