Appling to Figure

Hi,

I have a problem to apply a prop to a figur.

Long story short. I try to make a witchblade comic fanart in 3D (witchblade is a symbiotic living fantasy armor hidden in a braclet) This witchblade have tentacles. My problem are the tentacles at the braclet. I made a braclet in Hexagon similar to the witchblad. After I sent it to DAZ I used the Transfair utility to apply it to G8F but I do not know which one would be the right one. I used Attachement, Accesories, Follower and Props. In all cases the tentacles move with the hand and fingers. I even applied it directly to the forarm without the transfair but it did not work with the morphs.

I want to apply the braclet to the forarm but with no moving in the rest of it. The braclet should move with the figur expend and shrink with the arm when I morph it. But it should not move with the wrist.

What is the right typ for the transfair utility to achief this attachement?

Thank you.

Manfred

  • If you want to have custom bones you will have to add those after rigging the figure to match the base with the Transfer Utility - though if it's just a bracelt with attachments it may be better to skip the Transfer Utility entirely and just parent the rigged set to the figure's forearm.

  • Okay, thank you.

Did the bracelt change when I morph the figure, when I apply it without the transfer?

  • No, it does need to be a fited figure to AutoFollow - however, note that your custom bones will not be adjusted automatically to match projected shapes, so you might find AutoFollow is not wholly useful even if you do make the bracelt a fitted figure with extra bones.
