I feel like going to bed early because this storm stuff is wearing me down.

Glad to hear you are safe, and yeah it's really stressful.  During the worst day/night of Harvey I think I stayed up almost 24 hours straight.  We had a lot of tornado warnings, so we kept our two cats locked in a small interior room with us (they REALLY did not like that), plus I was worried about my parents and my nearby friends and all the flooding.

We have light rain from the hurricane in Kentucky but my cousin on the Piedmont plains of North Carolina are just now getting heavy rains & a tornado sighting.

I bought a T-shirt years ago when I lived in Melbourne, Florida that said "I Survived Hurricane David - Labor Day 1979"  The eye passed right over us.  Really weird.  The rain was blowing horizontally 80-90 miles an hour one direction, then 15 minutes later it was dead calm, so we went outside and took a gander at the sky.  It was night and we could see lightning all around us a few miles away, then about 15 minutes later the rain was blowing horizontally 80-90 miles an hour in the opposite direction. surprise  I had that T-shirt for years.  Threw it away only a few years ago.  Cool thing to have.  Works for starting conversations when worn in non-hurricane areas. yes

I thought about getting another hurricane T-shirt in 2004 when I again lived in Melbourne but there wasn't enough room to print "I Survived Hurricanes Charlie, Francis,  Ivan, Jeanne, and Ivan again - Summer 2004" frown
