Plushies

I purchased several of the plushies this week, but have found that the materials folders under poser content does not populate with the files that DIM states have been installed and the characters don't load with the base mapping. Is this to be expected from older content?

You are aware that the plushies are only shown as being for use in Poser and only have PPoser material presets.
Try manually putting the textures in the diffuse slots and maybe the bumb map slots and IRay them.. I think I just used an IRay fur shader though once...
Hmmmm, I am looking into this.
edit: I do not have Rufus but I am doing a test render of Jasper right now.
Half an hour later I got two test renders of Jasper. The gray one is default and the red one is after applying a red texture mat to him.
They do install (unless the product in question is defective), but they are not visible in the Materials folder in DS. Probably because they're incompatible with DS (mt5 files).
Not exactly true. The only reason I want to get Rufus is for Daz Studio support. Rufus with Poser support already comes with poser. For some reason, DS can not open the files included with Poser.
There is a set of iRay plushies textures in the Freebies section if you can find it.
Will it work for them all?
I've been experimenting with this set: https://www.daz3d.com/catalog/product/view/id/22523
And it works OK sort of, but the fur affects the eyes and nose. It can be fixed more or less by reducing Replacement but it doesn't look as good. I've set it to .40 on the figure to the right here.
You can also use the Suede shaders in the set I mentioned, looks pretty good:
I've used knitting shaders on them. They make great soft toys :)
@nonesuch00 Is it this one?

Yes, the freebies from Traveler but I couldn't remember his name. Thanks.
And here is Harley with Traveler's shaders:
Very cute @Taoz. Now I feel the need to play with my Plushies too
