Do you need Girl 8 to use Girl 7 for Girl 8?

I went to purchase Gravity Studio's Girl 7 for Girl 8, but as I was about to check out, it says it requires Girl 8. Can someone tell me fairly quickly (I need to take advantage of the sale, just had to spend $100 on a cat tree for my two maniacal kittens, haha) if Girl 8 is necessary? I really only want to use a Girl 7 morph on a G8 figure, so texture compatibility isn't an issue.

    It will? Urgh, I just need like 35% Girl 7 head on G8 and I have to buy two products for it?....   Thanks very much!

    Yes, The Girl 8 is required.

    I've got Aiko 7 for Aiko 8, the Aiko 7 morphs set the Aiko 8 Head and Body at 100%.

     

    35% of Aiko 7 for Aiko 8 is 35% Aiko 7/8, both dials are linked. I'm not sure the result is identical to the original Aiko 7 at 35%, I can't compare them I don't own Aiko 7.

    Thanks, I bought Girl 8 because I'm probably going to get the Rarestone morphs as soon as they go on sale and I need her for those anyway.   :)
