Welcome Home, Eichhorn Art!!!

Please join me in welcoming the artist formerly known as -Fenrissa- as she debuts at daz3d.com with not one but two items! She who brought consistent and repeated hyper-realism to Poser characters (V4 & V3) over a decade ago has now set up shop right here.

She suddenly went missing (along with her entire catalog at Renderosity) in 2015 or so, but she has returned to us! I spotted her distinctive imprimatur (as EichhornArt) months ago at Renderosity where she quietly released four characters (which have recently been reduced to one; Pearl is a reissue from Renderosity).

We can certainly use more help, especially with our queen's (Raiya) and princess's (Saiyaness) halved output for Genesis 8. Welcome home, Eichhorn Art!

AH! I knew it!!! As soon as I saw them, I thought they reminded me of Fenrissa! I was just coming to the forums to scour any info as to whether I was right or not. laugh I have a LOT of Fenrissa's V4 girls so I'm really pleased to see these.

Welcome Eichorn Art! Looking forward to your releases and your art!

  • I bought Leenda but have issues installing, see my other post.

Here's a closeup render of Pearl I did earlier this year after I bought her at Rendo

It's too bad she removed all but one of her characters from there.

  • Welcome indeed, two nice looking models there, but can anyone confirm that there's an option to turn off that heavy eyeliner? Pandas aren't really my thing.

Here is Pearl "out of the box" on top and the second one I replaced the eyes with another character's and played with morphs and expressions. Her teeth rendered a bit weird. Not the type of character I would usually use but OK for girl next door. Or woman next door. The HD expressions may be making her look older. I'm going to try another different type render of her to see how versatile she is. I did the morphed one at 4:00AM and she looked better then than in the light of day LOL.

  • Eyeliner is makeup you are free to apply or not - at least that's the case with my version I purchased at Rendo.

I can not help but I'm not happy to have a product being transfered 1:1 from Rendo to DAZ or vice versa. I generally like DIM better for update notifications and easy installation but no PA came up with an idea to "transfer" a purchase over from Rendo to DAZ. That would really be cool and should be no big deal, right?!

Here is my morph without expressions. I got her more for her skin than her morph. Also another character's eye materials.

Thanks for the nice renders, Wonderland! I hadn't thought of testing them with expressions.

Bought both; I like HD to be included, but they look really good textures, so figured I would encourage and welcome. :)

Wow these charachters look amazing, really wish I had the money to buy them

The renders I did used her makeup. I'm in the middle of a render but I'm pretty sure the no makeup option has no eyeliner. (I love eyeliner, and if a character doesn't come with it I add it with L.I.E LOL)

Here is Pearl default completely no makeup and no expression in CU, full body with slight expression and my morphed version with her makeup (Not her body at all, my morphs added to her face, different eye materials.) All default HDRI only.

I love the detail on the bottom of her feet!

I agree that this facial expression puts age on her and takes away that innocent look.  I work with the default expressions and tweak them.  That being said, if expressions are included in a Pro Bundle for a new figure, then I will use them.  Plus I think I'm jaded.  I'm so used to looking at all these 3d pple and their thousand yard stares with no expressions.  They look funny when they smile.

I have the product Expression Smoother https://www.daz3d.com/expression-smoother-for-genesis-8-female-and-male ; but I always have a problem finding it and forget to use it!

Also some characters, like LaTonya look great when they smile!

I finally got around to testing Leenda, but she is bugged out like alienarea said. I downloaded/installed her with DIM. I'll try again with Connect, but I suspect she just won't load any how.

Uninstall, delete the files and re-download

It took three failed tries of uninstalling, deleting the files, and re-downloading before I finally deleted the product from DIM and re-downloaded. Then I installed through Connect and got access. Daz didn't do the PA any favors with this one.

  • I don't like the eyes, but that can be changed. I really like the skin materials though. Excellent addition to the Daz store. I already have some Fenrissa V4 characters.

  • I have a question regarding Pearl. She used to be available at the "Other Place" before I know, but has she "evolved" in the meantime or is everything in the package strictly the same (textures, presets etc)? Somehow, the promo renders this time have a different feel to them, so it got me curious :)

I got Pearl from Rendo, and it appears that I have everything that is offered in the Daz package.

So the Daz package is the exact same as the Rendo one, then, yes?

As far as I can tell from sight comparing the What's Included and Features on Pearl's promo page to what's in my Content Library, the Daz and Rendo packages are identical.

  • Okay, thanks for the tip :)

Hmm, I'm getting a 404 not found page for the Expression smoother.  sad
