I saw an image posted the galleries and I thought I have that item so I went looking for it. Blast from the past, it was an old item that DAZ no longer has up for sale I guess, shame really as it looked pretty sharp considering it's age. But the search in my product list had a invoice link to it. I clicked on it and my eyes just about fell out of my head. I counted 74 bought items on that invoice [yeah, back in the day when I had more money I guess.] and the total price came to $922 if I paid full price for it that is...bottom price was $73 bucks!! Granted most if not all of those items were DAZ Originals purchased using the Plat Club membership...but even today you could not get that many items for that price.

Wait a month for the PC+ sale. ;)
I remember those days. They just don't do it like they did back then.
I was looking on an old drive yesterday at Xmas freebies from yrs gone by, and one year Daz had >20 freebies for Xmas. Now....not so much. But yeah, I still have old items that I like and will continue to use as long as I can get them to fit.
I also have lots of content bought during blowout sales back in the day. My problem is that a lot of that old content was on EXE install files that I have scattered on old archive drives in various corners and it would be good to be able to download in install via DIM but not if it's not in the store anymore. Kudos to DAZ for moving to DIM, so much better.
In an unlrelated note, speaking of blowout sales: I was in a small town down in the southern USA once for business and stopped in the downtown area for lunch. There was a tire store with a sign out front: "Blowout Sale!". I thought "I wonder if they really thought it through before they called their tire sale a blowout?"
Even if the items are no longer in the store they should still be in your order history, and so available through DIM, as long as you are still using the same account.
I'm not sure what you mean by "used to" but they still have amazing sales like that - at least they have in the past couple of years. Not last year, but the year before during the PC+ sale there where a ton of products for about .28 cents each.
74 items for $73 is around $0.99 each. I think we had those prices last year during the PC+ sale, didn't we?
Yeah, I think so. And I know during the V4/M4 sale, six or seven months ago, we had items at around .50 cents each: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/235131/50-cent-fashion-what-even/
Yes, DAZ still has some really good sales; but I think Nosiferet, Sapat, and Grinch are refering to the old days when the founders still owned DAZ. Back then there were some really wild sales especially some of the March Madness ones. Some of the sales were so extreme that I wondered how DAZ in business. And they might be almost any reason. I rember they even had one because their favorite team (I think it was BYU) won a tournament.
I am very relieved that I made a point of expanding all of those wretched 1st generation Bitrock installers into individual product folders just in time. The next computer I got shipped with an OS that wouldn't deal with them at all. That lesson learned, I've made a point of expanding any such product that came in the later Bitrock installers into folders as well. I doubt that even the last of them would unzip on my current OS, let alone any computer I may replace this one with by the end of the year.
I was never more pleased than to see those damn installers discontinued and my downloads delivered in conventional .zip files.
...yeah I remember those special coupons every time the team advanced.
Also remember the old voucher system which helped a lot as it stacked with coupons and GCs. If you got one for winning a challenge or having a submission accepted to the galleries, it was like money in the bank. Yeah don't how they didn't go broke with all that along with the deep discounts on many sales.
