Hiding the Aux Viewport
in The Commons
Hello -
I was wondering if there is a way to hide or minimize the Aux Viewport when using it to preview Iray renders. I have been clicking on the x and killing it, but I thought there might be a better way to hide it when I want to make adjustments.
Thank you!

What layout are you using?
In the layout I'm using, (don't recall the name, but it's the one with the light gray overall color,) there is a tiny arrow at the top that lets you minimize the tab. I got tired of that after a couple of years and just dockedd it to the column below, so it's now just another tab in my right column, along with Scene, Smart Content, Environment, etc. When I want to see the Aux Viewport, I just open that tab. But I'm far more likely to use the options to spilt the viewport into two. That way, both are the same size.
Colours are a function of Style rather than Layout.
Thanks for your reply. I'm using Hollywood Boulevard I think. I just thought there'd be a way to minimize it instead of turning it on and off.
You can minimise a docked pane group by clicking the tab of the active pane, which will collapse that dock area until you click on one of its pane's tabs.
True. But iirc, each layout has a different default color scheme. When I first got started, I didn't know how to change the colors. Now I'm so used to the gray, I leave it that way. I'd look up the layout, but I haven't turned on The Beast yet today…
