Sorry - anatomical elements again

This is an area that still confuses me a great deal. I keep reading that one can only get anatomical elements if one buys the pro bundle. But take George G3, for example. There IS no pro bundle, but there appears to be gen materials and gen on/off ‘switches’ within the product, even coming up in smart content, etc, none of which seem to do anything at all.

I know there are third party anatomical elements that work fine, but the gen materials within George, for example, won’t work with them, and so unless there is a dedicated UV within the third party product the results are not good.

It’s incomprehensible that gen materials, on/off switches, etc, are present in George if there is no way of using them - so clearly there’s something I’m completely missing about all this.  If someone could enlighten me I would be grateful.

The anatomical elements are geo-grafts that are available with any adult pro bundle.

  • The gen geograft is the same for all the same generation characters.  George G3 uses the ones from Micheal G3 (or any of the other Pro packs of that generation).  Once you have one copy of them, the rest are duplicates and don't download.

George is a PA character, and most of them do come with gen materials that you can use on the anatomical elements, but those elements only come in Pro bundles. In his case, you just need one G3M pro bundle. The anatomical elements in all g3M bundles are the same. These bundles have been given away with the purchase of a new character in the recent past. Or wait for a good sale- PA Festival and PC+ are coming, plus Christmas.

George is a PA character. Pro Bundles are only for the Daz Originals base figures (Michael, Darius, Owen, etc). To get the anatomical elements model that fits onto base Genesis 8, you need to buy an adult Daz Original Pro Bundle for Genesis 8 Male. The materials and morphs included with George or any of the other male, Genesis 8 Males at Daz are for this model (not anything off-site).

These are the bundles that contain them:

    Michael 8 Pro Bundle

    Lucas 8 Pro Bundle

    Darius 8 Pro Bundle

    Owen 8 Pro Bundle

    Edward 8 Pro Bundle

    Ollie 8 Pro Bundle

    Floyd 8 Pro Bundle

  • Having been a PA myself for a while, I can say with confidence, and without breach of confidentiality, that Daz requires "Realistic" adult character texture-sets (as opposed to "Toon" or juvenile character sets) to include maps and presets for the Anatomical Elements relevant to the given character before they'll accept them to the store.

I remember at least one character that I skipped that looked pretty realistic, because he had no map for the twig and berries. Maybe that  requirement is fairly new? (within the last 5 years maybe)?

Well Kenji 7 had his male bits even though he is is a toon character. Makes me wonder why they decided to make Dwayne a Ken doll even though he portrayed much older than Kenji.

No it’s not required males have gens, there was a recent release that was missing gen material even though he was a muscular adult male and not a toon
