What's the deal with DIM? - SOLVED

I never use it so I don't know how it works. I told it where I wanted my files downloaded, so I waited for them to show up in the folder where I pointed them to. But they didn't. I pressed install button, and it actually unzipped the file and installed it! I wanted to just download the zip to my named folder and install it myself since I always to manual downloads.
What can I do?
Where is my zip file that I wanted so I could install it myself?
How can I get my files from DIM without them "installing" them in my downloads folder?
Thanks.

There's a check box that you would need to uncheck that installs them once downloaded. Also there's another checkbox the deletes the zip after it installs. You probably need to check or uncheck both or one of those.
They're on the bottom of the window.
AAAHHH, run away,run away!! LOL
i don't use DIM either and see no reason for me to start. Thank you DAZ for giving us the option though, it is very appreciated
You can see where it puts the downloaded files under Settings/Downloads (click cogwheel in upper right corner of DIM), and you can choose another location if you want.
I only use DIM to download the zip files and updates. I otherwise install the stuff manually ;)

I have both of those UNchecked, and I have the Download and Installation folders where I want them to go since it forces you to give an installation path. Only reason I'm doing this is to download a bunch in a short time instead of 1 at at time through my product library. I have it working now that I have it set up properly thanks to help from you guys. It still installs them, but I put them in a folder where I can delete the installed files. I just wanted the zips so I can install what i want at my own leisure. Thanks everyone!
The checkboxes in question are in the main window, not preferences. They are on the Ready to Download tab (Install) and Ready to Install tab (delete).
Untick the Install after Download box
Oh, ok, then I didn't have it solved! I'll go back and change it, thanks.
Well, by jove, I think she's got it! I have the box unchecked to install after download in the main window, and found the files I downloaded in the correct folder.
