Looking for inside of car scene

hi,

I'd like to render some scenes where my figure is driving a car and another figure is in the pasenger seat. Sports car if possible.  Has anyone come across a scene like this?

Thanks

I dug this out of my old Poser runtime and did a couple of quick renders.  Would obviously look better with the textures converted to iray, but it holds up pretty well and the price is certainly low enough for a try:

You mean, you're looking for a car with doors and windows that work, so you can render views from inside the car?

Just check out the cars on this page and check to make sure the doors open/there's a modeled inside.

Long as there's an inside, you can go to surfaces and remove doors, hoods, whatever - to get your shots right.

yes that is exactly what I am seeking.. thanks

I try to avoid the issue by using convertible sports cars if possible, e.g. this BMWsmiley Apparently it's also possible to use an Iray Section Plane to slice off an unwanted chunk of a vehicle and get it out of the way of your camera, but I haven't tried that yet.

Note to the OP, if you experiment with an inexpensive older car model such as the one I linked to above, you'll probably want to update at least the glass and chrome to one of the sample Iray shaders that come with Daz Studio. It's quick and easy.

I had to remove a lot more than doors and roof to get this rightsmiley

I have several super sports cars in my store here at Daz3D.  They all have moving parts and detailed interiors.  If you are in no rush to get them, the annual PA sale is less than two weeks away and my store will be on sale once again.  So you can pick up any of my cars at a discount.  Please see the promos of each on their store pages to see how detailed they are and what all moves.  Thank you

I have the showroom, the car interior itself is pretty detailed. My figure couldnt reach the wheel with his arms, so I had to move the steering wheel. Luckily the steering wheel was moveable. I can check later if the doors work and so on.

For me it's a combination of opening the doors (or making them invisible), artfully positioning the cameras and - in tricky situations - using the geometry editor to cut away unwanted polys.

Just checked the Boxter of the PX showroom as its called. The doors can open/close, the wheels can turn.
