I have a few good ways to make skin look wet in irau but what should I do to the hair model s, is just increasing the glossiness adequate? I was going to experiment with different settings tomorrow but I thought maybe someone had some advice before I start.

I don't think that would be enough. Think how wet hair looks and how it actually differs from dry hair, the way it clumps and sticks to the skin; you can't fake that just with surface settings. There are a few wet-hair models in the shop, I would suggest using them and, if you want to portray the same character with both wet and dry hair, just make sure the base colors match up.

I'm still primarily using Gen3 so these are the three I have.
Yes, as Uthgard said, just make sure you use close to the same hair color and you'll be fine.
VWD works quite nice for creating wet hair looks; but it requires quite a bit of practice too.
use hair styles that are pulled back or combed back like a bun or other very neat styles. So it you started with a behive hairdo you'd endup with a bun (or similar style without that bun others that hug the head) when it was wet. Then change the glossiness enough to make it look wet.

And this hair also comes with the wet skin geoshell to go with it.

Over at Rosity is a free hair by zoro_d which was put up in June of this year called Side Swept ROse Hair (Yes, the O in ROse is a cap). It has a wet preset as well as a wet material setting. I'm not sure it looks totally convincing, but it may be a good starting point for you.
I wonder if some hairs would allow some to create the effect w dforce, as thats what the basic effect of wet hair is, a lot heavier + gravity.

Sorry, Virtual World Dynamics. The pay alternative to dforce.
