I'll be creating some art-related videos

I've been a DAZ fan from the beginning. I'm always trying to express my artistic self. I recently re-discovered First Bastion's Last Chance Gas Station. I am thrlled by all the camera views, etc. I have a vision of creating a zombie-apocolypse scenario using the scene. I need some time to get myself together, and then I'll try to setup a video showcasing the scene as a backdrop to my characters' misadventures. I'll be doing many other future art-related videos. I want to express my artistic endeavors and misadventures, and along the way, showcase some of the many great products. My videos might be sporadic. There might be days or weeks between videos. I hope you'll find them entertaining.

I won't overwhelm this forum with my own updates. You can feel free to follow me on Twitter. I added the link in my signature.

Good luck and I can't wait to see your vids. I'm not on Twitter, but if I can see the videos without logging in, I'll check 'em out. I haven't produced much art lately, I've mostly been dealing with hardware problems and side projects. One of these days I'll get a round tuit and create something.

Kitsumo, you can signup with Twitter, and just not post anythiing. You can also "friend" me on Facebook. Just remind me you're from the DAZ forums, and I'll let you in. You can also just go to YouTube and look for my videos. You can subscribe to me on YouTube and know when I post new videos. It may be a few days before I do anything. Probably the first video will be a retrospective of Marlin Fingle and friends. I created a whole cast of characters over the past 20 years. I lost most of them when the hard drive crashed. I still have some rendered images. I am in the process of creating new characters.

I've decided on this new approach because sometimes I just go wild, and create and upload lots of stuff. It's easy to irritate people by a multitude of posts about my work.

I'll definitely check 'em out, but I'd rather not join any social media sites. No offense to you, of course, I've turned down family and friends for years. I do things the old fashioned way, by making a bookmark to your Youtube or Twitter page.

What's sad is I've created quite a few characters over the years and never actually created a story or novel for them to be in. I recently converted one of my characters from Genesis to Genesis 3 but there's still no story or anything so it's pointless. Maybe it's like The Producers where they just plan a brodway play that will be a flop just so they can take investers' money. Yeah, now that's an idea.

I really haven't done anything important. I did do a few comic strip adventures. I even did some YouTube videos where I showed the comic scenes and read the story I'd written. It's all just silly stuff, but I had very many fans.

I understand your decision not to join social media. My experience is totally different. I started doing YouTube videos in 2007, and have created hundreds of videos. I did live Internet shows for awhile. Over the years I've deleted most of the videos. I don't do live shows any more. But I want to do more silly artistic videos!

In the past I had a web site. It helped people like yourself follow me without joining social media. Running a web site is expensive, and hard work. I just wasn't getting enough good results from the experience.

You can also start a thread for yourself in the Art Studio section.  Many of us have threads to showcase our work there, and to chat or whatever.  I'm on my second one (I post a lot of art lol) and its really a lot of fun to be able to keep everything in one place and also to interact fairly regularly with other folks in the Art Studio.  Many of us not only post art in our threads, but mini tutorials, videos, full tutorials, tips, etc.  Let me know who you are on Facebook and I will send you a friend request.  I don't do Twitter, I have enough trouble keeping up with Daz, Rendo and Facebook, which I have to have for the promos. Would love to follow along though

IceDragonArt, thanks for the tip. I never really understood the Art Studio. I'll look closer at the idea once things have had a chance to settle down.

You will. But it will take a little time. Hopefully I can do some serious creativity by the weekend.
