The Historic Subway Station has a serious flaw though - it is curved which means that no normal train wagon is capable of lining up with the edge of the platform. You can see it on the main promo actually - there is a huge gap between the platform and the middle door.

Great, now you have me missing London...
Never seen anything like that here. We do have curved stations but our trains have always been designed so that the gap is minimal, and with a step.
his cyberpunk subway also sort of works but you need to vertically scale the train up or scale down the subway/ move tracks up in a modeller
