Is Platinum Club worth it?

Do you really save as much as they claim (about 60% of each purchase) or are the occational sales enough?

In my case, the coupons, special sales, free stuff and extra discounts more than make up for the cost of the membership. I consider the Platinum Club a good investment. But, if you only buy a few items a year, you would not get a lot of the benefits.
I generally buy the PC membership when it's on sale; historically, I believe it goes up to 50% off.
As a PC club member, you get PC+ pricing for PC+ items, and 30% off Daz Originals. There are two monthly $6 off coupons with some restrictions, plus one monthly free item, and one weekly free item. I won't say every free item is something I would use, but a good amount of them are.
How much you save depends on how much you buy.
That said, I definitely think it's worth it. PC+ items are very reasonably priced and can help grow your library if you're new. And there are always tons of great Daz Originals releases (including the official core characters and their bundles), which you get 30% off of on top of whatever other discounts there may be.
It's really good for new members and it helps build your catalong of products for the least amount of money. I have been here for awhile and was in the PC for a few years then let it lapse for a few more. Then I joined again 3 years ago and thanks to some great deals on memberships, have stayed current. I enjoy the discounts and the monthly coupons.
Keep in mind that you get better discounts on the occasional sales also. I say go for it and give it a try and see for yourself since everyones experiences will be different based on their needs
Absolutely worth it, in my opinion. You save a LOT on PC+ items, plus you get free items every week, every month. You also get the coupons, which is $12 per month--alone worth more than even the full price of the membership. You also save on Daz Original items, of which there are many.
If you're just starting out, then you can quickly fill up your props with PC+ items at a very low price.
Oh,m and remember, that even when Daz Original items go on sale, the PC+ membership will give you a saving even on that reduced sale price!
Yes, the quarterly membership isn't that expensive. Could be worth a try to see how much you use it. And if there are any membership sales down the line, you can still take advantage of those, since that just extends your membership further.
¨How does the billing work? Does it bill me automatically every 3 months if I buy quarterly membership or do I have to buy another quarterly or annual membership?
It will rebill automatically until you cancel it :)
I wouldn't be buying anything from DAZ 3D without platinum club plus membership as it'd be far too expensive although as you get what you need (OK, want), PC+ becomes less & less needed.
Definitely yes! The freebies and 30% off is great on its own. Extra discounts top it off!
If you buy a lot of content, yes it's very much worth it. If you don't buy much or are slowing down, then not so much.

Go to your Account page and click on the Platinum Club button. Under Billing Info there's a tickbox and drop-down menus to select monthly/quarterly/annual and either manual payment or recurring payments using whatever method you used last time (credit card, bank card, Paypal etc.)
Note that memberships are on sale several times a year. Keep an eye out in the sale banners for this; it's been years since I last paid full price for a menbership, I've always managed to get a sale offer before my renewal comes around.
Note also one gotcha that will bite you in the anatomy if you're not careful — if you set up a recurring Paypal payment, then later stop renewing, you must stop the next payment at Paypal. You've told Paypal to send $$$ to DAZ every month/quarter/year, stopping the purchase of your renewal in the DAZ store doesn't stop your instruction to Paypal.
if you use just the voucher on 1 new item a month, you recover your cost when paying full price; over the course of the year that is.
Generally having PC club will 'make' you spend more; are you prepared for that eventuality?
In addition to all of the discounts and coupons that have already been mentioned, I would just like to add that the quality of the PC+ assets is outstanding. For example, I was just working with the fat bike and the poses to go with it - see for yourself:

https://www.daz3d.com/dirt-bike-poses-for-genesis-8-male
Poses are always a huge timesaver, especially ones that involve multiple figures interacting like this set:

Then of course there are Jack’s environments (both inside and outside) like these 2, for example:

They are not just good for inexpensive club offerings – they are just plain excellent period.
I could go on, but suffice to say yes – it’s definitely worth it.

Yes no doubt at all it is worth it,but try and get it on sale
Totally worth it.
And if you bill through PayPal and want to cancel, be sure to cancel the Paypal agreement on that end too. It's wonky.
Estimate savings of well over $1000.00 so far this year, by not renewing PC+.
That said, the 3+ years I had a membership l purchased several wagons full or stuff at an average somewhat less then 30% of the list prices (including the wagons).
I will renew again but only quarterly subs to match sales periods.
Bargain hunting can be addictive and time consuming, for some it's rewarding in it's own right. If that's you, grab a membership, and follow the https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/256681/missed-it-no-worries-there-s-always-another-sale#latest thread , you'll be in for the ride of your life.
if you've never been in it, it's worth joining a few months to scoop up some back catalog
the older pc stuff is 1.99
and a lot of the old rdna deep freezies is in there
the annual pc sale should be starting soon, been end of sept last couple years.
i might rejoin for it. i'm not into the g8female so much, unsure yet
It is worth it, if you plan on buying much of anything at all, and especially if you shop smart. I very much recommend using ATI's unofficial Daz web browser add on. You can use this tool to help ensure you find the best deals. It also has a price history feature, so you can at a glance see what the price history of any item is. This lets you gauge if it is a frequent sale item. You can set it to email the best prices available in both the store and your wishlist.
Pay attention to the icons on products. Items that are PC+ will be offered at the best discounts, and are generally $1.99 to $4.99. They can go even cheaper on sale.
Daz Original items will be 30% off. They also often go on sale for even cheaper. If you combine this with the "new item" discount that is available to everyone on new releases, you often get 51% off new Daz Original releases. And that is before any stacking deals they may have.
You receive two different $6 coupons each month. If you make use of these, that's $144 in coupons each year in just coupons. Do note what the restrictions are, you cannot just use them on anything.
And finally, every couple of weeks there are new items given away free to PC+ members. These are decent quality items here, though you don't get to pick the selection. Still, these are often backgrounds, and they can be useful.
I can say absolutely worth it. I have saved a really large amount of money. The sales plus discounts are a huge money saver. Especially if you are new to Daz and want assets, I would never had accumulated my collection without it.
Yes.
I think the people who are just getting started stand to benefit the most. They can really clean up if they catch a great sale, use coupons, etc. I've been a DAZ customer for almost 20 years. I stray away for months at a time. This time, when I returned, I noticed Floyd 8. I've wanted an older character for so many years. I re-joined the PC club, and made some purchases. I got an abundance of stuff and some great deals. I got some Genesis 8 Pro packs in addition to Pro Packs for earlier characters, either at a discount price, or for free!
It's a good idea to look for a sale, or an introduction to a new major character, etc. Then make a wishlist, and plan out any potential purchases. Look at the cost of one item, then see what kind of deals you get for other items at the same time. I hope that makes some sense. I'm up past my bedtime!
I agree !
And you get AN EXCLUSIVE FORUM with all us other PLAT clubbers in it too!
I am a member since 2012 and never regretted it.
Worth it, if you buy more than a few items as others mentioned.
I got the tip to join the Plantium Club before I began playin with Daz Studio in earnest and I am very glad about that. Just the free items each week/month and the annual sale in October are worth it. I usually buy the new membership during the sale for half price as well. And you get a lot of good older products for 1.99 that still look good with a new shader applied.
there is a 40% off PC+ membership annual right now

Some great bargains can be had, especially during sales. However in the long run it depends on whether you enjoy chasing the dragon (The elusive Inflatable, Millinumm Cow). Each month you get to taste something new, but the hollow craving remains until your cart is full and discounts maxed. It becomes a game.
