Import rigged models in to Daz3D (2018)

Now that Daz has stndardised on genral skin weighting systems, is it possible to import rigged models from say Maya as an FBX in to Daz3d?

I'm only interested in importing models in to Daz for Genesis 8 but Genesis 3 would also be interesting, as I'm awar it uses the new general skin weighting methods (not TriAx?).

Thanks,

James

I have never had an luck getting rigged .FBX models to work in DS, Carrara yes, but not DS. You would thinki DAZ would want users to use DS instead of other apps like Maya and Max, but their import functions would say otherwise, LOL.

The only way, I have found, is through Poser, but I have never tried Genesis 8 or Genesis 3 in it.

If you want to use Genesis 8 or Genesis 3 in Daz Studio, you do not need to rig such models in Maya.

Genesis 8 and Genesis 3 are already rigged in Daz Studio, so why bother.

You can however make morphs, clothes and accesories in Maya, import to Daz Studio and render in it.
