I had white spots once, I think it was something with transparancy that went wrong, otherwise I have no clue.

Is it the same version of DS in both cases (Help>About Daz Studio)? Do the render settings load with the scene - by default they will if you saved a scene, not a scene subset, and opened it, rather than merging, on the Windows box? Does chnaging the setting for Draw Dome in Render Settings on the Windows machine make a difference?

I occassionally get the same, but setting Draw Dome ON like Richard mentions fixes it for me. Bluejaunte said it will be fixed in 4.11:

Does it also happen using the Misumi legacy 4.10 material instead? Otherwise yeah I was under the impression that Draw Dome ON fixes it, which would be the better way to go about it.
