hmmm ... no stacking of discounts? bummer.  sure, 60% off is good, stacked is better.
I'm just always wanting more for cheaper. Sorry PAs ... I need to make my cash stretch so I can buy bread and milk.
Suppose that is sort of luxery food anyway.

so then how do you make the most cash flow, by selling full price or on sale?  5 @ $20 or 100 @ 10. or is it 5 @10

To me, the big problem here at DAZ are too many sales. Why would anyone buy anything full price unless you were a production or pro artist and needed something right now for a project?  I'm at the point now of making comments such as this original topic. Even 30% now seems pretty much a low discount when so much is at 50-60-70, even higher for older items, plus the stacking brings things even lower.

The most money is made on a product during its intro period at the intro discount.

No, not any more. It definitely used to be the case. And a new release does drive sales, but the most money made on a product these days is when it comes out of being "new" (90 days) and gets deep discounted for the first time.

Well, we can only speak for ourselves and our own sales, but my experience is more to what ChangelingChick said. I'm still a baby PA and don't have many products yet, but definitely, the most they've each brought in was during the first few weeks of release.

It's definitely going to vary by PA though and what the PA sells and how much their items tend to be listed at.

This is still the case for me.

Yes, you are right, I spoke from my prop maker point of view. There is less urgency for custumers to buy environments than character based content that constantly evolves.
