GenX2 Expression Transfer: GF2 to GF3

I've tried using GenX2 to transfer some expression presets from GF2 to GF3. All use only base morphs for GF2. The process I'm using for doing one preset at a time:

Load GF2, apply preset
Source: GF2
Target: GF3
Mode: Create single morph
Select: Get values from sigure in scene
Select: Transfer On: for all non zero

Clicking on transfer gets me to the naming dialog, and I enter a name. The expression is created, and when applied only some of the face morphs are present.

I've also tried using the Preset tab, but I always get an error that the constituent morphs cannot be found. The docs say the morphs must be selected in the Transfer tab, and even when I'm sure they are selected (like lip pucker), but the error says the morphs cannot be found. There is a file created but it's mostly empty.  This happens with any set of G2F expressions.

Other morph moving parts of GenX2 seem to be working fine.

Answerin my own question here: I was thinking when you saved a expression oreset GenX2 also saved the related morphs, but the docs say they have rto be transferred first. I did that for as many of the related morphs that I could find, but apparently there are additional morphs (hidden?) now shown that the expressions rely on. In the end, it just made a mess, and created very large individual morphs (some over 100K) because they had all the constituent morphs in them.

I would just buy these again for G3F but the vendor never updated them. I think I'll just find something else that's similar, unless someone has a bright idea...

One of the problems may depend on this (anyone please correct me if I understood wrongly): for G2 female, expressions are morphs, while for G3 are poses, because also her face has bones, that move its part to create the expressions. Try visualizing the bones in G3F and verify

Character design in D|S has never been much of a strong suit for me, as I do mostly inanimate stuff. If G3 expressions are bone poses that sounds right to me!

I guess GenX is needing to replicate the G2 morphs because it doesn't know how to convert the morphs to poses? I'm sure it's a tall order, but the Gen2X docs doesn't mention a limitation here. Anyway, thanks for pitching in. I've thrown in the towel and got a couple of other expression packages that have mostly what I need.
