Is it okay to set normal map strength between 2 & 10 for Genesis 8?
Genesis 8 comes with a normal map. Is it okay to set the strength of this normal map above 1.0? Does anyone know of any negative consquences of doing this?

Depending on the map you may need something greater than 1 to see the effects. As a general rule of thumb, the further you are from the subject, the stronger the Normal / Bump / Displacement needs to be for it to be visible. So a value of 4 might look great for a mid-range full figure shot, but if you zoom in on the character's face that may be way too strong. In the end, though it all depends on the map that was created as well. Some normal / bump / displacement maps are very subtle and need a stronger strength value, while others already have a lot of contrast / effect built into them and a lower value will work just fine. There's no strong reason NOT to try values above 1 as long as you're getting the results you want in the end. :)
Thanks!
