Re: Older RDNA Content Compatible With Studio or Not??

Hi all, I have a bunch of uninstalled content in DAZ Studio purchased from RDNA before DAZ merged with them that all shows having Metadata. Originally much of this content was listed as for Poser only. does the fact that it shows having Metadata listed mean that it can be now installed in DS also or does Poser also use Metadata in their content?? If Poser only is there any way to remove the content installers within Daz Studio or hide them from needing to be installed?
Thanks.

Yes, all RTDNA products that I have bought and actually used have been usable in DS 4.9+ and 4.10.x. Haven't tried in 4.11.x yet. I like their plants and the rain & fog & thunder product (rain/fog/thunder product since pulled from the store I think or maybe it's a freebie in the DAZ Store now).
Note that a fair amount of the RDNA goodies are listed as "Poser only" because, when they were created, DAZ|Studio either didn't exist yet or was still in a fairly primitive state. The vast majority of Poser content of that vintage will load into D|S with few problems, but there are a few gotchas:
Thanks for the info but it doesn't answer my main question of in the matter of whether Poser Content uses MetaData or not as all of this content in question lists MetaData being there... Therfore am I to assume it is DAZ Studio compatible or not??? Do i need to look at each contnet file to be sure or do I take the word of the RDNA content creator listing it as Poser only??
Poser did not and does not use Studio-compatible metadata.
THAT SAID: items from RDNA were supposed to have been repacked when the store was brought over, because they needed to be made compatible with DIM and the then-shiny-new Daz Connect.
What you need to look for isn't so much just the "Poser only" note (which may still be true, depending on the shaders and morphs used) but the installation method. If all it says is "Manual installation", then there will almost certainly be no metadata for Smart Content. If the item shows Daz Connect, Manual Install, and Install Manager, then it should have metadata, because Daz Connect requires that metadata to function. It may be fairly minimal -- I don't use Smart Content or Connect, so I have no idea -- but it should be there if Daz Connect is the installation method.
