SOTM ?

Anyone know what model SOTM is? A hunt on google only turns up an image of a 3D girl walking across a courtyard. I ask because following a crash I have been wading through my file structure and found (surprise!) models that have been installed in the wrong place. One of them is "Touchofthemed for SOTM" It is a preload that sets up a scene including foliage, a Genesis 2 model and various plant pots and bits and bobs in the air, apparently supposed to occupy rooms or balconies.

I do not recall buying it so presume it came bundled with some package, but I am curious to know what it is supposed to work with!

    sounds like Stonemason

and MS, if you have ever used his sets in other softwares you'd know the pain of the naming of all parts and textures with a prefix of letters like OW for streets of the Wild west for example

    pain as makes sorting difficult

..yeah he uses a lot of abbreviations.

    US2 (Urban Sprawl 2) US3 (Urban Sprawl 3) , UF5 (Urban Future 5). etc.

  • Yep on the button, found it under streets of the med search on Daz 3D site, Stonemason, the add on is by Dreamlight, no idea why or how I have it, I certainly do not have SOTM and not about to fork out $39 for it! Thanks for the help. Not sure what the crack about my language is about though.

  • I had no idea what "SOTM" stood for, and I'm sure most people didn't either so that's what I meant ?

Acronyms can be fun.     When I was still doing textures I started doing some for the Pharoahs of The Sun dress and ror two reasons I needed to "rename" it.mostly because I had discovered that if you forgot it was sold as a Pharoah outfit it was a good base for any number of styles.   So I started calling it PoTS,  an acronym that some people still use today.   Oh btw  the other reason was that I woul;d soon have got fed up with typing Pharoahs of The Sun a gazillion times.

I end up looking up acronyms weekly if not daily. If you are learning and expanding your knowledge you find "new things"  or at least New to You.

I thought this topic was about "Sale of the Month?"  Or "Soda of the Month?"  or maybe Sandwich of the month?

..one of my faves was WWF

To many here in the States meant...

...while to others it referred to an older independent international organisation...

...so the other week I saw this on a T-Shirt....

I can't call myself old by any means, but when I was in the Army Signal Corps, POTS stood for Plain Old Telephone Service, as opposed to those newfangled cell phones or voice over IP. Heck, pagers still outnumbered cell phones by a good margin back in those days.

...true The World Wildlife Fund has been around since 1961.  The Wrestling Federation was founded two years later (actually WWWF - World Wide Wrestling Federation) in 1963 and in 1979 shortened their name to WWF (World Wrestling Federation).

From a US perspective however people were more familiar with the Wrestling association than the Wildlife group as the former was a highly public for profit televised venture while the latter, an independent non profit dedicated to preserving wildlife.

Actually the Wildlife Fund filed and won a suit over the WWF acronym trademark (even though the actual logos and fonts used were quite different from each other), forcing the Wrestling group to rebrand itself the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) in 2002.  Unusual that it took so long.for them to finally press the matter (23 years).

    Reworded the post to clarify.

Bit surprised a court would make such a decision as it's not really a case of infringement. Say Apple and you're left figuring out the context needed and without one most people will assume the fruit.

As a kid in the 80's I was suprised to see they had the same initials. I couldn't believe it when they lost the rights to it. I mean, saving wildlife is great and all, but we're talkin' bout rasslin here! No comparison. Then they had a league called NWA (like the rappers or NW airlines) and I thought "did you people learn nothing?"

I haven't really been a fan since the Hulk Hogan days, but I gotta admit, during the Steve Austin / Rock era they put on some great shows.

...NWA there's another one,  I used to fly the airline quite regularly and somehow The "A" for "Attitude" kind of fit there too.

LOL, I remember that!  I was so much fun waiting for you to put out new textures for PoTS.  Anyone from the 'outside' wouldn't have a clue what it meant, but we sure did!

I keep reading PoTS as PotUS
