Blackeye anyone?

I've been trying to give a character a blackeye, you know, the one from a fistfight not from demonic possession.cheeky Not looking too good. I ended up creating it in photoshop but it didn't look too convincing. Is there a way or a resource to start dotting some eyes? Swollen shut, blackn blue, painful looking. Any experienced Daz boxers out there have a secret?

For the texture side, you can try something called Wound Makeup Artist. You can find them in SimonWM's store, depending on which generaiton you need: https://www.daz3d.com/simonwm

No idea what might be available for the "swelled shut" side, though. That seems like it would need to be a morph of some sort, but I don't know where you can find it.

  • Thanks vwrangler, I have been trying with the Wound Makeup artist as directed but it's looking more like a car accident right now, lol. I was hoping maybe there was a ready made "I got busted in the eye" add on. Oh well, soldier on right.

https://www.daz3d.com/iray-wound-kit KindredArts has made this great wound kit and it has some nice bruises that I feel sure will suit your needs, using decals.I have purchased this item myself and it is extremely effective, and various wound decals can be overlaid to get various desired effects. Instructions for use are included with this product. Hope this helps.

You may want to try some eye morphs to make the upper and lower lids puffy and perhaps a little squinting.

  • I bought SF-Design character Peter at Rend. - it came with a black eye that works with g3m.

  • Thanks allot for all the help, great ideas and excellent leads. I ended up using the "Wound Makeup Artist" from Simon since I have had a lot of luck with his products. Very easy to use, great creator.

I did manage to get a really good "swollen" effect by using a deformer but it wanted to only move the eyelids and not the eye socket too much no matter how much I worked with the weight map. It came out pretty good anyways but for some reason that character can no longer be dressed??? Any and every piece of clothing I tried to fit to it wouldn't work, lol. I guess I screwed up the file somehow. So here is version 2 with a top on and a little post work. Not as swelled up but still a pretty good blackeye I believe.

Thanks again for the assistance, now back down the rabbit hole for me!

Ps~I will be buying Pete as soon as the wife releases more funds. He looks like a bat got broke across his face, can't wait to meet him, Oh, and Biggun, how did I miss that guy????

highly recommended, whether I use him or not, I almost always end up using something from the the bruises, teeth, face morphs with child characters- one of the best purchases i have ever made.
