    I like her. While it is true that I would prefer a male figure since we haven’t had one lately I think she’s very useful and I picked her up and three extras.

    I really regret not getting Edward. (And Owen but I’ve since fixed that.) But those really seem like as close as we’re getting to ‘hunks’ for a while. 

    In any case, gonna deposit a paycheck and splurge a little, even though I should be cutting back since I’ve not had time to render much lately. You hear that, Daz? Success!

    Mabel 8 and her add-ons are making me giddy. Her outfits are actually quite versatile; the kitchen-apocalypse weapons make me LOL (in a good way); hair in curlers--about time; and Josh Crockett always = awesome! Another great release, IMO. I do hope future releases start including some earlier G8 bundles as freebies, but other than that...TWO GIANT THUMBS UP!

    I love the main promo for Curl Me Hair. They don't make women like that anymore ^^ (at least, not that I'm aware of).

    Just on the promo for Curl Me hair, I really like Mabel 8. I'm just not sure what I could use her for.

    Let's see what we've got here... The free bundle thing is starting to wear thin on me.  Not because I don't like the deal, but because I'm running out of bundles I'm interested in.  Here's hoping the next male character comes with the bundle sale, I could definitely use a few more of those.

    FWSA Ethel with Granny Nightgown.  Weird thing I noticed on this, though, is that the thumbnail for the character in my Content Library said Etta, not Ethel.  Otherwise, she looks like a perfect mother for FWSA Edith.

    yeah ..the bundles offered up are getting a bit long in the tooth...I keep looking at them over and over...through a few other character sales, and the ones left are the ones I didn't pick up before as the stuff in them is really nothing I would use. 

    The thought of the free bundles is awesome though, but maybe I already have too much. 

    I think I would be better of just buying the mabel 8 package and forget any add ons or free stuff.

    although with no adds the price of Mabel 8 Pro Bundle is $52 .. so for JUST $10 MORE ... I can get 3 adds and 3 free bundles... who knows, maybe I will finally have to do a Mabel with a sword render or something like that.

    After Mabel's had the curlers from the Curl Me Hair for a few hours, she ends up with Estelle hair LOL

    I remember my aunties and even my mom using curlers!

    I won't be buying Mabel but she looks nice anyway. Good stuff.

    I've had all the DOs I want for quite some time. I don't even bother to pick anything anymore ;). I just grab the discounts and call it good enough :)

    The bundles are a good deal for me. But I don’t have a lot of female bundles so I have plenty to choose from.

    Just for the record, the HD add-on comes with the base figure, too. I bought just the Mabel 8 base figure and I also got the HD add-on, so it's not just in the Pro Bundle. They've been doing that for the past few characters and I think it's great.

    Cybersox, click on the "View All Bundles" buton below the few featured ones and see all of the select bundles available.  There is a lot more there than you think.

    It's getting close to the point that I'm ready to put one of the bundles that I already have everything in it, just to stop seeing it in the offers page.

    I wouldn't mind so much if I didn't already have everything in that bundle.

    Really love Mabel, had to get her! I was disappointed in Eddie because she was too cartoonish (which, I know a lot of users enjoy) - Mabel is more realistic, and with the morph packages in Add-Ons - she's *very* versatile.

    Thanks. :) Clothing textures don't bother me as much if they really add something new. I would never buy additional hair or outfit colors, because yeah I can do that in Photoshop. But as I said the HD stuff bugs me because I need everything as photo-realistic as possible. I was just hoping that I wasn't the only one who felt a bit used by this practice. :D

    You are certainly not alone. There have been numerous threads about this topic in the past. That's all I'll say to avoid trouble.

    Try dialling in the cartoonish charas, ever so slightly, with more realistic charas for faces with more character.

    Body is straight Mabel, head is 100% Mabel and 100% Benita by Saiyaness. I ditched the bandolier? thing....doesn't go with the outfit and seems like an afterthought to me.

    Edit: I thought at first that Mabel looked too much like Edie, but she really doesn't. Edie is much younger, unless you have Josh Crockett's Etta or Cris Palomino's Crones morphs for Edie.

    About witches... See, if I want to do a witch, then Edie and her stylized look is better than Mabel. On the other hand, Floyd looks quite good when mixed with Edward or others, though. I'll have to blend Mabel with Penny or Alex when I can.

    Pure DNA/blend test... 50% Mabel 8 HD, 50% Alexandra 8 with no other dial spins.

    My understanding is that at least for SOME of the Gen 8 the HD are only included Free during the first 2 week run/sale then they are dropped out to separate purcahse.

    This done to encourage early purchasing and avoid folks waiting months until they show up at discount or free bundles.

    I think that's supposed to be the theory, but Edward, Floyd, Ollie, and Edie all show the HD still in the Pro Bundle.  I don't remember which other characters had the HD freebie in them (I kinda thought that started with Edward), but they don't seem to be pulling it from them all after the intro period.

    Can't wait till payday.. just when I thought it couldn't get any better than Eddie 8.. I plan to get Floyd and every trailer park item I can collect.. this character with the curlers are fantastic!!  I am happy that DAZ is delivering more realistic characters.

    what i like is that the skins, and bodies, actually look like old people. in the past, the face would look old, and the body textures looked like a 20 year old ... 
    recent releases are complete, head to toe.
