Abandoned Room

DPWDPW Posts: 267

Hi All,

I purchased the Abandoned Room and in Iray, it renders as a black screen. I've put lights in there 'n so forth, but nothing works.  (the 3Delight render is awful, must be Iray.)

Any advice would be great!

Thanks

Dean

    This one? https://www.daz3d.com/abandoned-room

What are you render settings? Dome&Scene, Sun&Sky, scene only?

I've tried it on scene only and the qualirt of the furnature is awful.

If you don't like the item, you have a 30 day return/refund guarantee.

Also... I'm not quite clear - does your render work now? As you said earlier that you get a black screen when rendering, and now you say the furniture looks awful?

I'm really sorry if this sounds like stupid questions, but I'm not seeing what you are seeing, so anything (screenshot, render...) would be useful.

For example, could you make a screenshot of your light setup, and of your light settings? For example, if your lights are set to the default strength of 1500 cd/m², they will not be strong enough to light the room if you otherwise use the default render settings. So, first recommendation is, can you check the lights that you have in your scene?

Thanks. The light settings are all good. I've done other interior renders in iray that are great. This is just awful. I'll get a refund but thanks so much for your replies BeeMKay! Really appreciate it.

Fortunately, I rarely had to go for a refund, but I also had my "experience purchases", so to speak. You'll learn what to look for in a promo image and product page description.

Though, the room is supposed to look awful and rotten, but I don't own it, so I can't tell if the textures hold up in closeup render.
