15-July: Store search engine broken

Moving this from a different thread to somewhere it might do some good.

The store seach engine seems to be more than usually broken at the moment. Searching for anything returns a statement that search for " found no results. Doesn't matter what you type in; you get a single quotation mark as your failed search returned by the store. Apparently somewhere in the search logic it puts the terms you type inside quotation marks to do an exact search -- technically, not unreasonable (although this explains why search statements with more than one term fail in some really odd ways - the store search engine doesn't know how to do AND or OR) -- but for some reason, the search engine has lost the ability to close the quotation marks, so it loses your search term because it can't figure out where it is.

(EDIT: Never mind; I just ran across a thread reporting this slightly earlier. I'd delete the post, but the forum doesn't allow that, so maybe a mod can delete this instead?)

I thought it was a odd weird problem with my PC, especially when it died a few hours later.
