the questions are asked ... what hair is that?
what character is used ion that promo?
wow..what clothes are used in that prmo?
over and over...
Well, to make it easier on the PAs, how about they just put the items in the description? that would save the problem of hoew many can be listed and no links need to be added.

And yet there is a very large portion (majority) of forum members that never ask and take a little initiative to find things for themselves, just saying.
They (DAZ) doesn't link to items in other stores, and also they have a limit on the number of items that they will list for the items used in promos (some PAs have mentioned this when they wanted to list more than the limit I believe).
Secondary thought, it results in advertising in the forums when people ask about a product.
the problem is many use assets sold elsewhere
That reminds me of the chorus of a song by Bruce Hornsby & the Range.
I like these threads; I see products I somehow missed at the time, and sometimes I buy it if on sale, otherwise wishlist.
I'm not a DAZ PA, and many of them have spoken out about this in the prior linked thread.
That said, for my Rendo products, I list the products I've used in the promos in the Readme file (I don't know if DAZ policy would discourage this for DAZ items). It can take a lot of time to figure out what I've used in the past, but what I've started to do is to take notes while I'm working on the promo scenes, since this appears to be something many users want. This was just a choice I made, but I understand everyone has their workflow, time may be better spent elsewhere (esp. if you rely on this as a living), or the promos may have been outsourced, etc.
Interesting point that not listing products may generate more talk on the forums, though.
There is a sample script to help with cataloguing products used: http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/scripting/api_reference/samples/metadata/list_products_used/start
yes indeed it draws attention to products otherwise overlooked
or in the case of the imfamous duck floatie an aching desire for some for a personal model that has never been released
So helpful as always, Richard! Thank you.
