File Transfer

I have moved my Daz "my library" from a windows laptop to a new iMac. They are all there in the right place in Finder but do not appear in my Daz content Library. is there a way to fix this?

Apologies if this has been asked already but I havent been able to find an answer to this so far.

Did you map the library in Content Dieectory Manager? That must be done for both Daz Studio Formats and Poser Formats.
  • Yes the paths for daz and poser are both there. Some of the files show up the category list but parts of them will not load. they show up as grey blocks/files missing. Ive noticed that the transferred filesnare greyed out in finder.

That sounds as if the paths are wrong. What are your content directories (post a screenshot of Edit>Preferences>Content tab>Content Directory Manager expanded to show the current paths) and where is your content, especially the Data and Runtime folders?

  • As far as I can tell the directories are the same. Runtime and data are both in the My Library folder.

The second screenshot is the /Users/Dave/Documents/Daz 3D/Studio folder?

  • Yes thats where it was installed. Ive never changed the original folders.

Is your OS set to be case-sensitive in file/folder names?

  • Im still relatively new to the iMac so I've no idea on that one.

  • I now have an error message in my smart content... File does not exist... Several paid items refuse to load even though I can browse to their locations and the files are there. Very frustrating.
