How to pot a plant

I just got some beautiful flower props and lots of pots, vases and planters but none of them have any soil.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make some dirt for my plants?  I have lots of soil and earth shaders but I don't have a dirt or soil "prop"  Please no post work suggestions, thanks looking for an actual prop iray or 3delight doesn't matter

    Flat plane primitive or flattened sphere primitive, plus the soil shader?

    The shader should have all the bump/normal you need.

    You know, I thought about the primitive option but didn't consider that the shader would have all the bump/normal for the detail.  Thanks, I'll try this.
