Fed up!

I have been trying for an hour to redeem my gift card and this is what I get: Wrong gift card code.

Anyway to get this fixed or is a refund due?

Did you try the 2nd code they send in your email?

I did.  But it looks like it finally added it, just took an hour. Solved.

I had the same issue with both gift cards I bought but then saw it showed up as a store credit.  Even though yours has been solved, I figure this may help someone else in the future.   :)

When you successfully redeem the giftcard, there is no feedback. So you might think that it did not succeed, and try again, in which case it will no longer work since you just redeemed that card. It's best to check your balance after clicking on the redeem button and not getting and feedback. If the store credit is there, then all is good. :)

Someone really should add a confirmation message to the routine where you redeem your gift card.  I go to check the credit balance history immediately afterwords, but not everyone thinks to do that.  And sometimes the codes don't work, which leaves you wondering...

Nothing changes. We've complained about this for years. They never do anything about it.

Sometimes I get two gift card emails.  The first one has nothing but the second one has something which is the right amount.

Seems to happen to some, and not others. I've never experienced it.

It has to do with how you pay for it, I believe.

I always get two emails. The first one never works, the second one does. I have no idea why that always happens...

In such a case just try again. I had the same issue this moning and a bit later the code was accepted. Anyway when it is not accepted the only way to redeem is to contact DAZ. It is what happened to me some years ago.

yea sorry to throw a monkey in the wrench. It was my first gift card purchase. I really didn't know what to expect lol

  • I think you get two e-mails because one is the confirmation to the sender, the other is for the person it was sent to.  Since most people buy the cards for themselves they get both.  If DAZ didn't send one to the buyer they'd have no idea if the person they were sending the gift card to ever got it.  Anyway that makes sence to me no matter how wrong I am ;)

In my experience I get two confirmations if I pay with paypal, and one with credit card.

That may be it. I've never received two emails and I always pay with a credit card.

I had a problem with an order a few weeks ago. To rectify it, I had to buy a Gift Card (something which I hadn't done before). When two emails turned up in my inbox, I had to ask if I had been charged twice. Apparently, one code works, and the other doesn't.

It's a lesson learned (and noted), just in case I buy anymore Gift Cards in the future.
