Genesis 3 to 3DS Max

Hi guys!

I could use some guidance in the DAZ —> 3DS pipeline I’m trying to perfect.

Basically, my goal is to import Genesis 3 figures to 3DS without any bones while still keeping the pose. I am currently exporting and importing my Genesis figures as FBX files which works great except that I have no use for the bones and animation and it therefore gives me a file much larger in size that I need. Combining more than 2 figures in a scene, bones and all, leads to 3DS crashing.

To summarize, I want to export my Genesis 3 files in such a way that preserves their modifications, clothing, hair and poses as ideally a pure mesh (I think?) without any bones or controls. Just the figure as I view it in DAZ because I will have no need to adjust it further.

Thank you so much!

I can try to help but I have an educational version of Max and not sure if it is installed at the moment.

Have you tried exporting it as a static OBJ file?

I would recommend to export it as OBJ as well. Works quite well.
