Misumi! WOW! BlueJaunte has done it again!

My jaw is still on the floor! I can't seem to find it. I need help.

Joking aside. She is amazing. I hope someone gets her and shares some images. I cant afford her right now. Awesome work BJ!

    It's not really a product I'm interested in buying, but bluejaunte's work is certainly amazing.

    The promos have been online at the DAZ PA Commercial Products forum since a couple of weeks ago, he's certainly built a bit of hype! :)

    got a render cooking of Misumi going she's looking great I think one of the more expensive characters even with 30% intro off but she's nice I'll get a lot out of her too

    I would love to know what sparks the imagination to create a character (like this).

    Is it someone they know?

    Someone they wish they knew?

    A composite of favorite features?

    Do THEY have favorite characters?

    Do they sit and wait for those initial renders?

    So many questions......

    probably a mixture of everything inspires them. When I was sculpting and drwaing I'd surround myself with images of creatures and other stuff and it was the atmosphere that inspired me.

    of course real life people when you see them whether they are a model, in a band, actor, celeb of some kind or even a complete stranger every day type person when you see them can spark so many ideas and you can see them as this or that kind of character and you just gotta try to recreate them cause they have a certain look or presence that just grabs you

    Well, the cost is probably up there because you're getting 3 different things.

    1. Figure 2. as HD 3. HD Smile to use with other figures...

    • Her own asymmetric standalone signature HD smile, usable with all Genesis 8 Female characters

    Yeah, I can imagine the influences coming form everywhere. Good thinking.

    Some comments:

    1. Her default skin mat is extremely prone to having "black" or transparent pixels. Bluejaunte needs to make the legacy mat the default one. The PAs are using a better version of Studio, right?

    2. I like the imperfections (eyes farther, discoloration under the eyes) but some péople may not like them.

    3. Her nipples are slightly lower than what I expected.

    4. I hate using my phone to post this.

    Right! That was at the beginning of the project though, it then turned into something rather different but a bit of those proportions are still in Misumi. And well at some point she became somewhat Asian too.

    I have a pretty freehand approach in general. Just let stuff happen. Most important overall I'd say is the face for me. I need this to be unique, interesting and aesthetically pleasing. All three ideally, though I may not always succeed but that's the goal at least. It's what makes me feel like that this isn't just some random CG babe anymore but someone who could be a real human being.

    Quite often I don't have any concrete ideas when I start at all. Just start mucking around, see what happens. Creatively/artistically at least. Technically I always want to create the best and most realisitic thing I ever did. Which leads to horrible obsessive behavior and way too long production times. So I guess, that part is technically interesting but not too healthy  :)

    Yep the transparent pixels only happen when you render without a dome though. Quick fix would be to enable 'Draw Dome' in render settings. The legacy material can be used if this is not an option. We wanted to make the "correct" material the default and make clear that the other one is the legacy that soon won't be needed anymore. 

    We did it this way because indeed this is a bug that was finally fixed in the latest Iray in 4.11 which will be released in the near future, no idea when exactly though. But it's great news in any case.

    The low nipples, I don't understand what you mean. I don't see anything wrong, texture lines up fine and nipples as far as position are also rather... youthful? laugh Can you maybe give me a screeny per PM since we can't show nipples here? Thanks! 

    Edit: Ah I think I see what you mean. The position of the nipple inside the areola? Yeah that's a bit low, sorry about that. This is sometimes the case with the real thing but I can see why it would bother you.

    A little bit maybe. I would ask myself what kind of smile fits the character and it may influence how I present her in promos. Just basic stuff though. Confident, shy... that type of thing.

    Really only when you get little black or transparent pixels. Unless you really want to render a transparent background for some reason it's no biggie. If all fails there's the legacy material. Be aware that does not look 100% the way I had intended. Could easily be a case of nobody except me would ever notice though, I'm not sure :)

    I agree, that is a high price, but there is a lot included. My two favourites are separate HD sliders, and separate head and body dials; closely followed by the smile.

    I like that the character is different; not excessively so, but enough to add value to those I've discussed.

    But in my experience those two things are the norm for most character sets and I never used the smile that came with Sahel. Either way, she looks nice, but not in my budget.

    thanks Summerhorse (I see BJ already answered your question) and Griffin Avid. I maxed her Subdivision level and in render settings had rendering qaulity around 4 and rendered in ultra hd  but noticed had selected her hd morphs so even though didn't select those that is still a lot of detail I got out of her

    a few white dots and for some reason her nails are off but i really like this render even though its all prety much out of the box.
